HaikeLite XHP70 Thrower Prototype Sneak Preview

:+1:

The Cooling fins in this light can deal with the heat very well , at 6.5A turbo the host got hot very slow.

Electrical-engineer will rise the drain up to 7.5A on turbo.

Turbo date updated in the OP.

Holiday time from tomorrow here. Will keep updating the testing results next Monday when all custom-made components are back.

Or add a 3rd pin to it to make it even easier to line up visually.

Please put a generous radius on those pins. I wouldn’t go for a full radius though because that would allow the tip of the fat pin to fit partially into the small hole.

HaikeLite: Actually you only need 1 pin. The contact PCB will align itself when you turn the tailcap.

Also take a look at JETBEAM sra40, the pin and receiver hole are shaped so alignment is super easy.

I still don’t think turbo is in the normal sequence. Description says low, medium, high.
Turbo is double click. The ui would be so much better if turbo is in the sequence and so that it can be a mode that can be memorized.

I agree - turbo in the sequence is better. In Narsil, I have quick access from OFF to last mode, moon mode, and max/turbo (click, click&hold, double-click) -- what could be easier on a single e-switch? Everyone gets what they want. I normally prefer no mode memory with e-switch's, but when you have easy access to all 3 possibilities, why not?

A bunch of stock lights now have 2 of the 3 features - not sure if any do all 3.

The light looks awesome.

Very entertaining thread.

couldn’t have said it any better.
thats what i was trying to tell their company….be unique and stand out from all the rest, put turbo in the sequence so that it can be memorized.
the ui they have now, is similiar to olight, nitecore, thrunite, sunwayman, etc…
this way the user has many options….

price range ?

According to HaikeLite it’s “reasonable”…

Highest I would go would be 75

Is there anybody who is good at doing video reviews?

And these are just 3, your inbox is about to explode

Ohh la la, subscribed!

Like others have mentioned, I’d love to see what a XHP35 HI with a smooth reflector could do in this monster.

Thanks Miller.

XHP35 HI throws better for sure. But the output can not go over 3000lumens.

XHP70 can output more lumens, the deep and thick cooling fins of this monster are designed for XHP70. Heat-sinking is amazing, on 7.5A turbo mode the big head part gets warm quick and never get too hot.I can hold the light in hand all the time.

Smooth reflector does make the light brighter than OP reflector. I will update some beamshots next week to compare the difference between SMO and OP side by side.

Will this final production light make Convoy L6 owner want to ditch L6 and buy this one?

I believe it will cost 2.5 times L6’s price.

If the price is close to L6 i guess
