HaikeLite XHP70 Thrower Prototype Sneak Preview

Will this final production light make Convoy L6 owner want to ditch L6 and buy this one?

I believe it will cost 2.5 times L6ā€™s price.

If the price is close to L6 i guess

Both XHP70 and XHP35. Like the option of a SMO reflector also.

Oh :frowning:

For that price then I have to buy cheap host and mod the light

Iā€™m poor now day

Do not guess  , will public the price soon.

Please do not rush this product. If thereā€™s anything we BLFā€™ers are good at is to quickly spot massive design/manufacturing flaws in highly anticipated flashlights.

Yes, and in a less fortunate case, non flashaholics can spot the flaw as well. Indeed, do not rush these products; they look too fine to have serious flawsā€¦

Can we have special discount for BLF members ?

If this light deliver well performance then the name will lift up the next production

I say stepping stone  this way minor flaw can be forgiven and not damaging to the brand name :stuck_out_tongue:

If I may politely disagreeā€¦

I like getting a good deal and all, too. But letā€™s wait to see pricing before we start talking about discounts. Who knows, it could be a great price without any sort of discounts. And from what HaikeLite is saying, it wonā€™t be much longer. For coming here and letting us make suggestions, I think the least we can do to show our appreciation is to not discredit their pricing (nor call their quality into question).

Final products coming soon ;

OP updated:

Final UI changed a little , Added hidden Strobe and SOS modes ; Press and held 1 seconds in any status to active.

Switch 1:
Single Click-on ; Single Click-off ;

Fast double-click Turbo (Double click switch 1 in any status to acess; easy to access)
Long-press to Strobe; Long-press again to SOS

Switch 2:

Low Low-Low-Mid -High (single click to change modes ; with last mode memory)

Hidden Moonlight 1 lumens (fast double click switch 2 to acess; easy to access)

Special modes always go back to previous memory mode by single click ; ļ¼ˆSpecial modes can circle among special modes by double-click or long-pressļ¼‰
Memory mode: Low Low-Low-Mid -High + OFF

(We call Turbo/Moonlight/Strobe/SOS as special modes)

by Switch 2, Click+hold+flash signal to lockout the light; Repeat to unlock. Tailcap-lockout also available

Temperature stepdown added to HaikeLite thrower on Turbo mode; Turbo mode can last long time (around 15 minutes)before overheat and it gets cool again fast in 2-3 minutes
Gold-plating components changed to Silver-plating
Wire changed from 20 gauge to 18 gauge

Emitter drain on Turbo adjusted back to 6.5A .
7.5A gets hot too quick , even with the massive integrated head.

What happened toā€¦.

ā€œXHP70 can output more lumens, the deep and thick cooling fins of this monster are designed for XHP70. Heat-sinking is amazing, on 7.5A turbo mode the big head part gets warm quick and never get too hot.I can hold the light in hand all the time.ā€

Can you also provide lumen values for the XHP70 with their respective runtime?

Thanks

7.5A can not pass the testing in hot weather (32 Room temperature, put it to table w/o outside-cooling , can not last 5 minutes before step-down).

Using it in outdoor at cool windy night is a different story.

Thanks for clarifying. I was editing my comment when you replied. Do you have runtime duration for the various modes at this time?

You should really put turbo in the modes with switch 2. I donā€™t see why you donā€™t. Having turbo memorized would be a great option.

+1

1. Double-click turbo is easy to access in any mode or off.

2. We have tested this turbo-momery UI already.
When we put turbo in modes with switch 2 and memorize turbo mode, It will be confused when people double-click in memorized turbo and find the brightness has no change.
Will be like this:
Single click-Turbo brightness-Double clickā€”still Turbo brightnessā€”Single click to previous memoried modeā€”Still turbo brightness

It means when you are in memorized turbo, you click four times , the brightness has no change. Isnā€™t it annoying?

Hello after a long time.

It would be nice to have a version with XHP35 HI emitter and SMO ref . Any chance of that option?

Regards
FM

Interesting... I thought about this same exact problem in my firmware. I have a double-click go to turbo (same as this), then if in turbo, a double-click will go to an intense strobe, ~18 Hz. It seem natural - increasing mode intensity with each double-click. Once in strobe, double-clicks don't work anymore.

Price is settledā€¦
