BLF A6 with X5 reflector, or BLF X5 with 18650 tube (A6 body)

The only X5 part you need is reflector. You can get it or any similar from any member that had made quad conversion.
Head is not a problem. Bezel is a big problem.

That’s too bad about EE’s response.

If you end up going the DIY route, I’d be interested in one. I’ll bet other BLF members might be too.

Please keep us updated, alfas! :+1:

Hoop was talking about a custom head or possibly whole flashlight design, maybe you could interest him in a run of heads.

I have such a combo,putting a XP-L Hi in a Astrolux S1 light, together with a Kaidomain optic.
Conclusion:Almost 20Kcd!!

I would still need the protective glass and oring, woundn’t I?

Thanks, I just sent him a message.

There is no problem to find similar size glass or o-ring.

I see people constantly asking about pocket throwers, difference from convoys M1 and M2 again and again. All discussed here.

I am just bumping this topic to see if Kronos has already made something about it.

Hi, any news about this flashlight?

Thanks!

doesnt look like its gonna happen…shame, because i finally just purchased a x5 and this thing is awesome!
so much power coming from a light this small. it throws fairly well too with the xpl hi.
be very nice to have a 18650 body on my x5 on certain days. but i still love the 14500 body because it makes it feel so tiny.

when time come this x5.5 ? with the blf driver with turbo on +–60-100 second ?

Hi, more than a year later after I first posted this, is there any new lights out there with the X5 reflector and a 18650 body already?

I have been offline from flashlights for this whole year and did not follow the new launches since then.

Thanks!

X5 bezel hole is 24mm. There are lots of 18650 flashlights with similar size smo reflector.

Are you talking about these convoys that despite the reflectors, are way off oversized than they need to be? Or is there any new flashlight that looks like the wish of this topic (second flashlight from right to left)?

Lumintop sd mini is a good one

MH20 (with cheap clone)
E40R

Still looking for a direct drive, BLF X5 reflector on a 18650 body with tailswitch. Come on, no manufacturer made one yet?

This small little guy will have the most size/throw ratio of all 18650 flashlights ever. It will be the ultimate hiking flashlight where every inch and every gram matters.

Isnt it more simple ask Simon about smooth reflector for M2?

No, because M2 is bigger than X6 (you can see in the pictures). And M2 it is not even direct drive: big size + low output.

The light we are talking about will be smaller than X6 (the same size of the A6) and with the BLF X5 throw: Small size + high output.

This is not possible.
Take X5 length, add 20mm and here is right achievable size.

I have already done this here.
