A little beamshot comparison of my decent Thrower material.

Very nice. Thanks for posting these up. You have some lights that throw very well.

Great jobs, thanks for detail comparison

Ach die Liebe!

Nice shots, thanks for doing this.

Love a happy ending.
Thanks for beamshots, enjoyed going through them.

Update: - Riverbeamshots 2016 -

Passed night I found some time to have a visit the local banks of good old Rhin River for quite a little while.
No need to say that I didn’t walk alone.

Same target zone as to find above, for the river beamshots is the base of a power pole which is placed at the western bank of the river, spanning a straight distance of 500 meters to its counterpart at the east bank.

To get some more beam distance, here I choose a place with longer diagonal to the target. From there it should be around 600 m.
First pic is normal distance, secound pic is with 11x optical zoom. Camera setting: manual mode - iso 100 - time 4 s - blend F 5.0

So same lens diameter lights. And no doubt that Vinz version which is probably done with precoolimator lenses wins with visually much nicer and wider beam (no matter for kcd numbers).

Kenjii should explore precoolimators a bit, and I am also very interested how he managed to get 5A out of XP-G2 and lets say fet driver (almost impossible this days).

Edit:

Kcd values seems to be very relative at some stage so this is 750kcd light:

Little Beamshot update: ET. M25C2 Turbo: XHP-35 Hi vers. XP-G2 ded., UF-T90 XM-L2 ded. and 7G5CS XP-G2 ded.

Quite a few weeks ago, this lovely little crazy thing to see here M25C2 Turbo XHP35 mod by Nexxos , find its destinated way “to daddy’s home”. So here is a short Beamshot comparison with this tiny new toy and the best 3 Musketeers of my little Thrower company, photographed at my favoured tracks for Long Distance Beamshots.

First track targets the 165 m high cooling tower from a nearby coal-fired power plant in our area.
The beam distance is about 580 m /* +*- . Camera mode manuel: iso – 100 , time – 4 sec. , blend – F 5.6

The BLF Q8 & friends - another a bit more floody type of beamshot update.

The arrival of the long time awaited BLF Q8 flashlight seemed to be a good reason for a little beamshot comparison with some other flashlights,
just to show how these are matching up with the great new star on budgets lighting heaven. :+1:

Dereelight NM400 XM-L2 ded./Pre-Lens are showing here.

Finally -, just to share, here comes a sensational snapshot that I was lucky to catch during a long trip at Wild Western Coasts,

Wow, the Q8 kind of blows them away. Even gives the TK75 competition in throw.

WTF? Spam?

Sorry I did this my mistaken sorry please :frowning:

Here is a first short beam comparison with my BLF GT and some other lucky throwers.
Unfortunately the overall outside conditions had not been that ideal for beam shots, cause down by the river the ambient humidity was a bit too much. But first time on the road with the GT, I decided to give the camera at least a chance respectively an experimental try.

The target zone is once again the basement area of a big power pole placed at the western bank of the Lower Rhine river, but from a place decently more far away, so that the beam distance should be about ~1100 m. !!

Despite the badly conditions, i. m. o. the pics are showing impressively that there is a new sheriff in town.
Will do some more beam shots at better weather conditions.

 &

Nice shots MACS0647!!! :+1:

I think that shows pretty good their is a “New Sheriff” in your town!!

So some :confounded: spamming again ?
Wtf hell is this stupid Scopeshit good for  :rage:

It would be nice if it might be possible that these disgusting posts from
huntingfrog & maisiejarvis No. 26, 28 and 31 could maybe be deleted somehow.

As announced.

Because my first try for some beam-shots with the BLF GT was spoiled by too much humidity BLF GT, M25C2 Turbo & others … , I had been out for a second try last weekend, on pretty windy but otherwise a lot better weather conditions.

So here we have just 4 little musketeers left, and even those, as you will see, are fairly going to reach their limits at that distance.

In summary imo the little GT Mini shows great throwing skills for its size, whereas the performance of my shortly arrived 14.50$ Cometa’16, considering that it’s about the same size with the same type of LED but with the claim for an “aspherical lensed zoomie”, is quite disappointing. Fortunately it has a very nicely shining tale cap light, so it can properly be used as a befitting feature for some discreetly faint illumination of my flashlight vitrine.

 &

Because during the last months and weeks it was a BLF GT70 with a shaved dome LED made by Lexel and even
an AceBeam W30 LEP flashlight that found their way home to “daddy”, there were two good reasons to put some
lightnin’ stuff together and having a little late night trip to the nearby banks of the Lower Rhine river.

As mentioned in the title, live on stage are

Very nice. I’ve been lusting for a W30. Are there any rumors yet about a bigger/more powerful version of the LEP lights?
