Low-cost copper pills, spacers, optics, drop-ins (Updated 23/10/2022))

Upcoming parts:

- X6 copper spacers

- S2+ triple pills RR

- M1 quad kits
will be ready in a week
Thinking about

- X7 copper (?) spacer

- F13 triple spacer (I prefer design that provides heat transfer to sides so it requires some anodizing sanding with dremel)
-more M2 quad kits (how many?)
-P60 empty drop-ins for single led (any optics suggestions?)
-P60 solid copper neck
Delays in production:

- U11 quad kit

  • Z1 copper pills
    Other news:
Last few Cute-3M optics in stock. Restock not possible. Probably I will have some Cute-3SS in the end of October.
Khatod PL136915 is sold out. Do we need more of them? Still no feedback here.
LL01CR-BLU03L06 (similar to Khatod PL1672UN). Same question.

Great , i see you bumped alot your portfolio, great modding stuff indeed, keep the good work going!

Interested in a few copper spacers for the convoy S2/S6, will you ship to canada?

Will you be getting anymore of the Single led TIR lenses? Those are one TIR I have not tried yet, I am curious how they compare to the ones I am using now.

BTW, the S2+ triple spacers I got look great! I plan to build some mixed tint lights when the LED’s come in with them.

They are little pricey, I cant afford having them in stock if Im not sure that they whould be sold in the limited time. Thats why Im asking. Also I wonder why some such rare parts that I had sold by 10-20pcs quantity were not mentioned anywere on BLF. Maybe if they were it was more real to open small GBs and provide as much as blf users need.

I am always on the lookout for the next big TIR lens, this one looks different than most I have used, I am curious what it would do. I would buy a few depending on price for sure.

What kind of beam does it give? any beam shots by chance?

I had actually not been subscribed to this thread so I was not even aware that you had these till now.

You are talking about 19mm or 35mm one?
19mm can not make big surprise. Probably somebody wouldnt like what I will say now, but I need to repeit: even hi version of xp-l is too big for this size. It should work well with dedomed xp-g2 or smaller dies, I have used it with xp-l hi in A6 and it cant overthrow same size reflector and have lots of artefacts in the beamshot (they means that lots of lumens are running away from tir enter).
35mm one gives much more wow effect. As most narrow tirs, it dont likes multi-die leds and prefers smaller one. To be well focused it requires drilling three holes on pcb, and it can be done when pcb is big enoght (it wont fit hosts with 16mm pcb cavity.)
I have been selling 19mm tirs for $3 and 35mm for $4.5. 35mm narrow tir with ledlink partnumber can be get for lower price. Cutter wants $6.85 for one. I can offer it for $3. How much do we need?

I think I have one of the 35mm from cutter, I have not properly tested it yet as I don’t have any hosts for it. I was more interesting in the 19mm one for tube lights myself. I have 15 or so I have tried already and find they all act very different. Some have to be focused perfectly to work, others only work well with certain LED’s and other just plain don’t work.

If this one doesn’t work very well then I would not need it.

If I could find a host for the 35mm TIR I might get a few but I don’t know of any hosts that it would work in easily.

35mm tirs can fit C2 size hosts.

Hmm, don’t have any of those at the moment. Might need to add one to the collection.

Arrived yesterday… thanks

Received my order today including the X5 kit, the packaging is very good and the shipping to Denmark is very fast.
The X5 is a little beast, with a MTN-17DDm driver, quad Nichia 219C D320 and a fresh Windyfire 600mAh battery I get 11,87 A initially dropping like a rock to 8,5 A after about 30 sec.

I was going to use XP-E2 for the M1 quad but I don’t know how they like a FET+1 driver.

You can try them with regular cells like 26f, 29e and etc.
XP-E2 should fit those optics well.

Need some advice about this option.
Due technical reasons, solid neck+18350 extender should be at least 5mm longer, than 18350 host. This way driver place will be 10mm upper.
P60 extender tubes are full length (bigger one can fit 70mm cells) so this extra 10mm are excess.
18500 cells are not very popular.
10 more mms, and non-protected 18650 cells will fit this tadpole.
What do you think?

possible product idea.
Just bought a couple Lumitop copper Tool on sale for cheap. Never bought one before cause I dislike the Honkin’ tail cap Switch.

Is it possible to get a cap made to turn the Cu Tool to twisty?
By design it would work.

No, this is not possible due lots of reasons:
-in such parts, smaller does not means cheaper
-surface roughness that we can achieve is not good enought for external parts with difficult shape
-to get twisty with full copper light you need isulated coated internal threads. Impossible under thousands qty.
The only thing I can suggest you, if you dont like tail rubber cap and switch intself, you can think about making solid insert to stock tail that will change stock switch and cap. It can be mafe from any material, can provide waterproof with o-ring, will be much cheaper than whole tail.

any chance you would be interested in making aluminium tail-switch-part-thing for Convoy C8 flashlights that could be used to make remote pressure switch? Just like regular pressure remote switch but only aluminium part, without the wire and the rest … ?

I dont know what are the problems with the existing parts and why you cant use them, but if you can help with the drawing, why not?

Threads are the problem, convoy is using square threads, everyone else have V shaped threads.
I don’t really know how would I measure that, don’t have thread gauge.

Why you cant use stock Convoy v3 tail with internals from remote swich made for chinese C8?
