1. Did you create a ticket and contact CS support? We will check for you and once it is confirmed the wrong item, we will make an arrangement for you.
2. Thank you for your suggestion and I have passed the requests to merchandiser and they are working on it.
I didn’t create a ticket as the last time I did about an LED having the wrong tint I simply got a run around with “please send pictures”, how are pictures supposed to show if it is the wrong tint? You can make it look like whatever you want in pictures.
I sent them anyways only to then be asked for a video??? What would a video show when it comes to LED tint?
Then I was told that they sent the correct item from the warehouse and that they would not be doing anything about it.
I get it that you simply want to make sure people are serious by making them jump through a few hoops, it makes sense to help keep the scammers away (yeah, buyers scam the sellers all the time as well). At least make those hoops mean something and if you know you won’t be doing anything about the situation save them the time by telling them up front.
After that experience why bother opening a ticket only to be asked for pictures that won’t show anything (how are you going to tell the lumens from a picture?) Then if I get asked for a video what will that show?
I don’t have time for that kind of run around.
P.S. I am not looking to trash fasttech in my posts in this thread. I was simply hoping that the new emitter policy would mean that you would verify the emitter tints and bins so we could trust them.
We understand your case and please note that the photos or videos we requested is to prove the items are broken or not perform in what they should be.
We do not mean to hassle our customer but photos or videos will let our CS team understand the particular situation and offer the best solution to you quickly.
In addition, if you would have any problem with the previous cases, please feel free to find me here or PM. I will assist you immediately.
Lastly, the new emitter policy ensures the authenticity of Cree emitters and we will keep our high standard on quality check.
Thank you, and I will stop taking your thread off topic after this.
I realize why you ask for pictures and videos but both take time and effort (a lot of it int he case of videos). In the case of an LED tint or particularly LED lumen problem it is impossible for a picture or video to show the problem. I still sent them though. It is when I was told that they sent the right items and they would not do anything about it that I got annoyed. If the pictures will not affect the decision to do something about it then why ask for them?
If you are not going to do anything about the LED having the wrong tint or lumens then please just say that up front. I can understand not wanting to mess with these issues as it IS impossible to prove it beyond a doubt.
In my case, I am lucky enough to have a good sphere that can accurately measure lumens and I know that the lumens are low. There is no way for me to prove that to your claims department without spending way more time then they are worth.
When you get LED’s I highly recommend you getting them with the factory CREE packaging and taking a picture that proves the model number from cree and that they are indeed the ones that fasttech is selling.
Thank you for the support so far. I would like to gather your information or suggestions on our previous products or promotion. If you have any idea on it, feel free to share it.
