Thank you, and I will stop taking your thread off topic after this.
I realize why you ask for pictures and videos but both take time and effort (a lot of it int he case of videos). In the case of an LED tint or particularly LED lumen problem it is impossible for a picture or video to show the problem. I still sent them though. It is when I was told that they sent the right items and they would not do anything about it that I got annoyed. If the pictures will not affect the decision to do something about it then why ask for them?
If you are not going to do anything about the LED having the wrong tint or lumens then please just say that up front. I can understand not wanting to mess with these issues as it IS impossible to prove it beyond a doubt.
In my case, I am lucky enough to have a good sphere that can accurately measure lumens and I know that the lumens are low. There is no way for me to prove that to your claims department without spending way more time then they are worth.
When you get LED’s I highly recommend you getting them with the factory CREE packaging and taking a picture that proves the model number from cree and that they are indeed the ones that fasttech is selling.
Thank you for the support so far. I would like to gather your information or suggestions on our previous products or promotion. If you have any idea on it, feel free to share it.
It is interesting, I would love a host version or at least a bare light version, I have no use for all the extras and would prefer just the light. Looks like a great candidate for an XHP swap if the heat path is halfway decent.
So fasttech, any chance of the TL-20G in host form or at least without any of the extra stuff, just the light?
Guys, I need some info: anyone used “DHL Global Mail +$2.65 (14 days in transit typical)” as a delivery method?
I know this is not the 40$ express DHL but are they any faster than PostNL, Hong Kong or Singapore Post?
Any info appreciated.
I did ask FT if they would sell the light without batteries and a charger of which the response was no. When asked about the ban on shipping Lithium Ion batteries to Australia they said I could ship with Singapore post. Go figure?
I’d love a light to have a look at this light for modding but the pictures from there website put me off a bit. The reflector and lens look like they have finger prints all over them and the reflector itself does not look that shiny. Maybe it is just the pictures from the manufacturer though?
I think the problem is the buyer’s there don’t know how to check what they’re being told, they buy stuff trusting the sources, and get fooled.
Then they advertise stuff according to what they were told — and people like us catch them and try to convince them they’ve got it wrong.
And the thing is — they don’t know how to check what they’re told.
You can’t check stuff like this with a picture or video.
They don’t know how an emitter that’s “warm white” differs from “yellow” or “amber” — for sure, I’ve been ’round that circle a few times.
They don’t know what the difference is between a solid pill and one with a hole in it — because they don’t pry up the emitters to look inside the pills.
There’s a lot more that could be said.
