I’ll be giving them a try soon- I need a couple 18340’s for my Astrolux S1 and a good 4-bay charger.
I’ve been lucky dealing with the Chinese mega-stores so far but each buy from them puts me one step closer to problems I’d rather avoid by using a better seller like this Thanks Robo and Jason :+1:
My apologies , I thought they shipped internationally at higher prices , but I guess that is what I get for thinking without reading up first. (my bad)
I got to poking around in the IMR site and found the following information , it will explain what is going on with the shipping.
Also updated in the OP to see this post.
“We currently offer FedEx ground shipping to Canada only. Please note carrier and customs delays are not within our control. The quoted shipping cost is for delivery to the destination country only - the receiver of the package assumes all obligations to pay any applicable duties, fees, or taxes subjected to the products purchased.
If you are outside of US/Canada and would like to place an order, we suggest using a freight forwarder in the US who can arrange for international forwarding and customs clearance on your behalf.”
I just wanted to let anyone know , who might be wanting to use the BLF15 code for a discount , that it has been disabled until the Black Friday sale is over. The code will be active again as soon as the sale is done with.
They have some really good prices on a lot of the stuff though for the Black Friday sale (some even better than the 20% discount using the code)
Just wanted to mention that I received my order from IMR today with a bunch of the green 26650 Efest which I’ve needed badly since getting all these big cell lights lately and that I felt like I was almost stealing them during the IMR Black Friday Sale due to price being absolutely rock bottom and best prices anywhere, and really though mostly just wanted to say Thank You Robo, I appreciate you thinking of all of us and putting in the leg work to get us a decent deal from a really decent company at that, you did a great job.
But even more than just my wanting to say thank you to Robo I really wanted to say for some time now, that yes these batteries came from that seemingly technically challenged company mentioned by some joker
Edit: Removed commentary which was probably worse than what I was bitching about, but some people should be quiet, maybe me to…
Thanks for the kind words T18.
Always glad to do what I can to help the forum members.
I didn’t even reply to the comment you are referring to though , as I didn’t feel it deserved a response.
Well my friend I don’t know if you caught all of what I had originally posted, but your most certainly welcome because I was just waiting to get my IMR shipment and then I let fly on the knucklehead wise guy, BUT as always a couple minutes later and thinking, I came back and cleaned up my comment if for no other reason out of respect for your thread and furthering along an idiots comment,
I know how you are and you don’t bite,
I’ve learned a lot from you D.
Just a friend,
G…
You bet Robo, your such a great guy, for sure.
The other mention about being in Texas and getting slammed being a in-State purchaser is a bummer, I had the same issue with MT Electronics when they were here in Washington, so was thrilled when they moved back to Utah, lots cheaper buying from them now.
Edit: By the way when I first discovered IMR some 3 yrs ago I was building and vaping box mods or E Cigs then in the early days before the PCB’s the form was mechanical style E cigs, basically a tube with a unprotected cell and to fire was just a hard Pos and neg contact to fire up Kanthal wire, a potentially good way to get yourself messed up if you don’t understand Ohms Law and battery sag, especially if going into sub ohm areas, but they were a battery shop primarily for people who were into vaping and box mods and I’d suspect still are, and that would explain the lack of protected cells and button tops.
