HaikeLite XHP70 Thrower Prototype Sneak Preview

I think this holds true for so many businesses. I think you can apply the 20/80 rule here as well; the last 20% of the work requires 80% of the effort. I was personally quite impressed with how fast Haikelite implemented the changes into their design. This was actually a point of concern; I hope they don’t rush things… Simple things like the button plate that was recently manufactured; is the light still waterproof? It probably is, but you know, this kind of stuff is in the back of my mind…

Just got word! Sample should be shipping this weekend for the review. The delay sounds like it was getting the flat finish anodizing done well - not too flat so won't mark up as easy.

you reviewing the light Tom E?

the single XHP70 thrower or tripple XHP70 ?

Yes - this light in this thread, the thrower - actually the model name is MT07, while the flooder is the MT03, both shown/listed here: http://haikelite.top/index.php/products.html. Dunno why, but the OP is not updated to show the new model name.

I should be getting the CW version, N4 bin.

cool

looking forward to the review for triple XHP70 flooder

6000 lumens sounds awfully optimistic. I’ll be disappointed if they can’t meet their own claim, and even more so if it can’t match a stock Convoy L6. That said, I just need it to light up the dumpsters from the bay door of the shop. A mildly modded 6x XML SRK can almost do it.

Show this light to some Native Americans, and tell them: “tatanka! tatanka!”

Single, MT07 Buffalo, Max Lumens 5000 ; beam range 750 meter
Triple, MT03 Devourer, Max 8760 Lumens

They updated the OP to 5,000 lumens, not 6,000 any longer. This is more realistic.

The distance is rated in the OP at 750 meters which is about 140 kcd. I measured my stock L6 at 78 kcd, and modded to 7.2A at the tail, got 96 kcd.

Thanks for catching that update. Hopefully it’ll do an honest 5000 lumens. That’s still damn good, and 140 kcd is damn good too if it’ll really do it. Am I actually their first buyer? Btw, I got the NW version. The spec game is risky, and so is the reliability. Hopefully I don’t end up regretting this decision.

You ordered one from their website? I really dunno - no shipping notice yet? I don't think they will be ready til this weekend, at the earliest.

I would be interested in XHP-35 HI for throw as well. But only if the light is fully constant-current regulated (no step-downs) and has the two switches for mode memory.

I really like the looks of this light. Looks promising!

Yep, I ordered through their website. Full price. I didn’t even try for a reviewer discount because I know I won’t find time to do a review. I tried ordering it earlier, but Haikelight didn’t respond to my pm, which is annoying since they asked for inquiries via pm didn’t they?

Looks interesting. Looking forward for the review

Amy news?

Any news?

And any news for XHP35 Hi + SMO ?

Noth'n yet for me. Delays again, most likely.

Mine was supposed to ship yesterday. Did it?

I got notice mine shipped, so good news!

I think Some guys will get it next week
