HaikeLite XHP70 Thrower Prototype Sneak Preview

Only very close to wall (about half meter),you can see a tiny dark hole. Over half meter the donut hole can barely been seen.

SMO reflector has a donut hole. Will do a comparison between OP and SMO tomorrow night.

Beamshots looks good, it seems to be considerably throwier than the L6. HaikeLite can you also do a side by side white wall shot vs the L6 at about 3-5 meters using the OP reflector? Thanks

Indeed, I would also like to see this.

Do you have a neutral white version for comparison while you are at it?

Yes, will do it tomorrow.

@Texas_Ace

We have NW version to compare.

Just measured the Convoy L6 head and reflector.

L6 head at the bezel: 73 mm (75 mm at thickest point, lower down)

L6 reflector: 63.0 mm I.D., 67.5 mm O.D., 48.5 mm depth

As posted in the OP, the MT07 has a 72 mm I.D. and 68 mm depth, so with the extra 9 mm of I.D. width, the MT07 should definitely out throw an L6 with everything else being equal (LED/amps). The extra 20 mm of depth should mean the spill on the MT07 should be narrower by quite a bit, so that should make the spill area brighter, maybe a slight bump in throw, maybe... Good comparative beam shots should make it clear, but we'll have to wait on that - hopefully those great garden beamshots done in Germany will soon include the MT07.

Thread here on bluzie's garden - he's got posts with lots of beamshots: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/37084

Here on the German TLF: http://www.taschenlampen-forum.de/threads/933-beamshots-mit-lampenbildern.27575/

Seeing the first beam shots of the XHP 70 Thrower and the MINI Triple XHP70, I think I will go for the xhp 70. [for now]

Tom, your light should almost be there, right? Mine is a few days behind.

11/02: Actually just pm'ed HaikeLite this morn - haven't got a DHL tracking #, but think they sent it to the shipper for DHL shipping on Monday or so.

11/04: Edit/Update: DHL says my MT07 just arrived in the US, Ohio, so should be on schedule for Monday.

11/07: Edit/Update: It's delivered @home , but of course I'm not there . Hopefully will still be there when I get home after work .

Great news, anxiously awaiting your opinion of this light. :+1:

Ok - opened up the box, light looks great! All good, no damage.

Waiting for the review now , right ?
Thanks Tom!

LIVE UPDATES NOW!!

Oh man, I got a little heat at home. Made my wife go home to pickup up the DHL package off the stoop - I was worried..., and got 5 more packages today from USPS. Why must they come all on the same day???

Got mine today too! Flat top cells it seems… that was probably discussed earlier, but I don’t have any. Looks like I need to place an order!

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far :

Nice square threads and double up O-rings:

How do you think it’d compare against a stock BTU Shocker?

Stirer.

Beats the old Shocker all-around, little in stock throw, a lot in stock lumens, lighter more compact package, better UI with the dual side switches, better driver. Wish I had a Shocker to show comparison shots with.

Great, that means I’ll probably actually use this unlike my Shocker that’s only been used for a few minutes. Those side buttons would have been enough to make it worth using, but it’s awesome that it’s better in several other ways too.

thanks for the quick pics. Is it as front heavy as it looks? I hope its evenly distributed.
the switch looks very tall, is it spongy at all? is there a loud click when you press the switches?
very much looking forward to your numbers?
