Pretty close to what I got. 111kcd. The TM16 utilizes direct drive for turbo so it’s heavily dependent on cells.
It might have been over 120 before the limiting voltage thing.

I thought they would be using a fancier driver I guess. I’ll charge them up and try it again too. I need more chargers apparently
Using original (stock) reflector ?
Yes, stock reflector but i might be wrong about the current because it is direct driven, no driver at all, so it might be higher. At the time of the test i had three 25R’’s in it, ive seen that same led pull just over 5A from a single cell, so with 3 in parallel there might be a bit more juice delivered to the led.
My TM16 is making 109.75Kcd, essentially stock… I didn’t change anything on the driver, still has the NW (on the warm side of NW) emitters, but I used 18ga Turnigy leads throughout, in place of the 20ga they used.
So I’d say you’re in the ballpark.
I’m using fresh charged LG HE-2 Button Tops.
Direct Drive for Turbo? Where does that info come from? I see an R010 sense resistor on the driver… mine tests out at a bit over 4100 lumens.
giorgoskok: BobbyMK:D01 with xp-g2 should be well over 300kcd. I measured mine at 305kcd and it is running dedomed xml2 u2 driven at ~5A.
I recently ordered Noctigon XP32 boards, would love to see what numbers will D01 give me with dedomed xp-g2, if i find a good one.

As djozz explained me :
Answer to the parallel question: yes. If the delivered current per battery is halved, the battery is at a higher voltage. With more voltage, the current goes up until there is new new balance.

What did you mod today? - #1758 by djozz
Yeah, tested it, three 25R’s @ 4.19V = 5.7A at the tail, so there it is, it is more than 5A.

Probably misremembered DD.
Max did a really nice write up on the TM16.
Hello my friends! banggood sent me a nitecore TM16 - a Tiny Monster! they also offer it for us to a unbeatable price ;) [image] you can find the other glossy advertisement pictures in banggoods webshop ;) the Specifications: (from the shop) Product name: NITECORE TM16 4x CREE XM-L2 U2 LED Flashlight Brand: NITECORE Model: TM16 Emitter Brand CREE Emitter Type: XM-L2 U2 Material: Aerograde aluminum alloy Total Emitters: 4x Lumens: 4000lm,1780lm,680m,280lm,5lm Runtime…
With the lumens Nitecore quotes (4000), Turbo is probably like 2.8amps per emitter. It still could be susceptible to a tenth of a volt or two.
My only remaining Courui D01 also uses 25R’s, it’s making 545Kcd with an XP-L HI for 1476.48M throw.
Not liking myself for selling the SBT-70 D01.
(gotta see if I can tweak it for that remaining 436 feet to make a mile. LG HE-4’s will probably do it. )
Edit: Best is actually from Efest 35A’s in this light, at 557.5Kcd for 1493.32M. Still some 381 feet shy of that elusive mile. Oh well.

Lol…you made someone a very happy camper though. You were able to spread your joy elsewhere. My edc has been the X5 since I received it and it probably will be for a long time.

545kcd using xp-l hi ? Sweet .
Also , anyone using the 86mm KD reflector in his D01 ?

How did you focus your D01 for that throw?
Yeah, that little quad is a pretty dang sweet light, for sure. Dang sure won’t be picking one up at Wally’s World anytime soon…
Nothing yet but it is still early...
I cheated unknown. The “Big Head” Courui is now the Mega Fat Head Courui.
153mm Seanna optic.

Ohh i remember now :smiling_imp:
Shame Shame Shame.
I need to tweak mine. It was such a pain for me to mod it when I finally got it all together and properly centered I just left it. Low 200kcd’s iirc. Really disappointing for a FET XPL-HI in a Courui D01.
