Today DX has added "old" lights but with more competitive prices:
WF980 equivalent for 18,40$ with XML led (the original wf980 was 26-28$) http://www.dealextreme.com/p/tb-d7-cree-xm-l-t6-8000k-900lm-5-mode-white-led-flashlight-1-x-18650-110262?r=43033281 However dont know about the pill desing
Cheap C8 with XML for only 18,8$ http://www.dealextreme.com/p/ultrafire-c8-t6-cree-xm-l-t6-800lm-5-mode-white-led-flashlight-1-x-18650-110264?r=43033281 Smooth reflector
Another X8, this time FandyFire, with brass pill http://www.dealextreme.com/p/fandyfire-x8-cree-xml-t6-5-mode-1000lm-memory-white-led-flashlight-black-silver-2-x-18650-110288?r=43033281 34,50$ and does not include batteries
Maybe now the wf980 equivalent should be the cheapest xml light with good throw?

Any chance this thing draws 5 amps like the uf980 lumen? :p It is trying to copy that one, right?
Honestly, though, Prairie Fire sounds better than Fandyfire. I wouldn't even own a light with a ridiculous name, I don't think. lol
Really, I may buy. Time for new toy.

Sorry guys, I have corrected the title... it is equivalent to the 980 not the 950 as I have written.
And yes, the price is good if it is well regulated and has a good pill, which I guess it has.

I suppose that the name "SureFire" is almost as funny, especially for batteries.

it does look good. does anybody have the 980 and really like it? the head looks pretty big for pocket carry, but i'm sure it does better with heat than even a wrapped p60.
A prairie fire will always be a shot of tequila with a healthy dollop of hot sauce.
With the hilarious lumens claims, I am still waiting on the PantsonFire brand of lights.
