Has anyone asked for separate tailcaps? Maybe Black, Silver, Colored?
How to get the glued head opened? Which Tools do you use for it?
I wasn’t sucessfull yet to open it.

Here’s my method for unscrewing the glued bezel ring.
I did get the head to unscrew using two pieces of 3/4 inch (19mm) thick soft pine (wood) with 1 and 1/16 inch (27mm) holes through the center with a thin saw cut through part of the middle from one end to allow compression in a vice and clamps. Compressing the wood separately for each piece allowed enough grip and leverage to loosen the bezel ring with no damage or personal injury. I did this while one or two remaining emitters would still go into turbo resulting in a hot bezel that probably softened the adhesive some.

A 1 and 1/16” drill bit is not common, but I have one and it worked great. Don’t know about 27mm. Hope this is helpful to some.

Yes, beacause the flashlight was out of stock after the many reclamations with the “blue light”.
And they wrote in the description: “Note:This is the new version with the new head could be opened and without blue light issue.”
I just picked up my S41S (faulty head - new one one the way) with the 18650 tube to go see something outside at night… and ouch! this knurling is definitely too sharp for my hands.
You could probably grind stone with it and break out of jail! :sunglasses:

FINALLY got mine in the mail complete with 19650 tube…oh, and a messed up xpg3 emitter. Sent BG an email, so we will see how it pans out.
I like to refer to the knurling as flesh-ripping myself.
I contacted the customer service and they asked if they shall create a Product ID for the tailcaps. I confirmed it and promised that they sell some more of them to other costumers.
The price will be 6 USD for the black one and 8 USD for the silver and colored tailcap.
Bought a s41s with cree xp-g3 and a s41 nichia.
But the s41 has a f…ed up driver: When in any mode/step it goes downwards itself to complete off, with aprox.3.5sec between each step… (hello??)
And a friend of mine got both of his s41s, cree and nichia based, and both with blue leds……
Is there no inspection/test before shipped to customers??
…thay could have saved them self, and customers, alot of problems to not ship faulty products I believe…not to mention the economical side of it.
After sending banggood pictures of black LED, they agreed to replace it. Five days later they notified me the replacement was out of stock, did I mind waiting nine days till back in stock. What else can I do but say OK, at least they notified me. PS this was 11-19 –16
Can you imagine the labour involved in checking hundreds, possibly thousands of orders that go out every day? They would rather “wing it” and hope when something does go wrong that you cbf making a video of it so they don’t have to fix the problem or offer you the equivalent of $2 in compensation.
Don’t get me wrong, I agree with you, but I can also see it from a business point of view as well, and there’s the difference between buying from someone like Banggood and someone else like Illumination Supply (Illumn)
