As the light in the other thread is VERY reminiscent of the Manker E11 at about half the retail price (on the group buy). Utorch UT01
If these are even close to the quality of the counterparts, I’m VERY tempted. Especially since I JUST spent $65 on the Manker U21….I might still be in my return period with Amazon……hmmmmm.
EDIT: That being said, put me down for ONE NW. Thank you.
Manker perhaps you need to speak with your factory to find out why these look almost identical to your model.
It seems there is not much that can be done in the Chinese market about the issue of clones, other than to make the original worth the premium over the clone.
Here at BLF, some people will avoid a clone out of principle, but many people will buy what appears to be the best value.
By the way, it seems like the head is a single piece without any kind of bezel, how did they get the reflector/glass in? The light shown in the pictures is just a render and the actual light could be a lot different than the photos.
+1 - the light as pictured can't exist. The head could be smooth if there was a retaining ring over the lens, but I don't see one. Now I see why a black button turns red and green - wondering how that would work, maybe some degree of transparency...
Most of these brands just choose from an OEM catalog and have their brand lasered on it, some design their own product (probably the case of Manker) and have it made by a subcontractor.
Said sub then release a similar product under another brand name undercutting the designer, business as usual in China.
