I had deleted those pictures but i have replaced the consolidated build pics with a full size version you can view, hope that helps.
Still struggling to see details with zoom, presbyopic glasses and magnifier! :sunglasses:
Did you right click on the image, view, then magnify?
No I hadnāt. Now I understood how and I finally see the TRUE GREATNESS!
I really like your works, keep on going! :+1:
Returning to the last of your pics, the 3 carbon fibre parts seem to be at the same level with the 2 visible brass parts.
If thatās the case, how did you do that?
Did you insert brass rings over the main brass tube to make the threads that make the 3 pieces of the flashlight come together? (I donāt know if I can make you understand what I mean, but I donāt know hot to write it in a better wayā¦ )
I get you mate, yeah so itās five outer parts - the first brass ring towards the head is soldered onto the inner brass tube at the heatsink level for some heat dissipation, the other brass ring at the tail and three carbon fibre tube parts are epoxied to the brass inner body tube with jbweld.
Getting them all even = a lot of filing & sanding, itās not perfect being my first attempt at using this technique but good enough i think.
Handmade stuff shouldnāt be absolutely perfect and identical one each other. Thatās what makes them unique my friend!
