I’m considering the Klarus Mi7, but then I read more about it and other lights, and there are some features that I wish were different.
Is there a light that meets these criteria:
1xAA or 1x14500 protected (Manker E11 doesn’t fit protected 14500s)
can be carried on keychain
500 lm or more max. output
available in NW
always comes on in a low mode, and can be cycled upward through the modes (Klarus MI7 comes on in High, or if you turn it on in moonlight mode, can’t cycle upward through other modes)
If you shift battery size to 16340, which has the same capacity at the 14500, the Olight s1, or the mini will fit the bill of what your looking for. Press and hold, the light will come on in a low mode. 1 click for high, or 2 clicks from off to turbo. You can do the same thing with the s1A, which is AA, or 14500, but it is considerable larger.
I can’t find anything. There’s a group buy for the Utorch UT01 open until Dec 15. Similar to the E11 but I am not sure if it takes protected cells, there’s a chance it may.
The Jet-1 MK has mode memory so if you leave in the low mode it will re-start there every time… that’s the closest I can find.

Twisty with a very strong attachment point on the tail.

‘Only’ 480 lumens but your eye won’t be able to tell the difference.

OK here is the potential sticking point. Cool white but a solid white, no blue/purple tint.

The Jet-1 has memory so it will come on in whatever mode you used last. If you want it to come on in low, turn it off while in low. Mode order is L - M - H.
Thanks, I did almost buy one, but I don’t want my edc light to come on in high mode. I’m hoping to find a light that starts in low and will cycle up through the modes.
