Official specifications:

  • Capacity: 2600mAh

  • Maximum Continuous Discharge Current: 25A

  • MAX Discharge Current: 40A

  • Nominal Voltage: 3.7V

  • Voltage at end of Discharge: 2.5V

  • Material: Li-ion

  • Length: 65.30mm

  • Diameter: 18.20mm




According to specification they are modern high current cells.











These curves do not looks good, one cell is 2800mAh and the other 2300mAh.





One cell reach 80°C and the other 86°C at 20A.



At 30A they get a bit warmer, but due to thermal delay I do first measure it after I have stopped the discharge.











One of the cells cannot handle 15A, before it is warm and this test do not give it time to warm up.





Conclusion

I do not like these cells, they are very different. The B cell has most capacity, but need to be warm before it can deliver high current.
As 2600mAh high current cells they are bad.

For a true feast put the G-power 2600 in the comparator with the G-power 3000.

The wrapper states that it is an ICR cell rated at 2600mAh and 40A
How could an ICR cell ever possibly deliver that kind of current. The label must be wrong.

Answer for dchomak: Mooch's [quote] Lithium-cobalt batteries, often called ICR (along with some hybrid batteries), are capable of very high discharge rates as seen in a lot of prismatic LiPo's. The Aspire 1800mAh and 2600mAh Tesiyi batteries have a solid 25A rating.

Since the 30A rating for the Avatar is labeled as "max" I suspect it's a 20A-25A continuous battery.
This could even just be a hybrid chemistry cell since LG uses the "ICR" model number prefix (it's not a chemistry) for that type of cell. [/quote]
