My thoughts on the pricing… Richard sells XP-G2’s bare in nice tints for $3.05 each. That’s $21.35 in emitters alone.
My reasoning? I can’t machine a head and battery tube for $20 (sure, the aluminum bar stock is not so expensive, but could I stand at the lathe and make it in 30 minutes? Nope!), so materials costs alone on this light with 7 emitters, an mcpcb, Optic, glass lens, switch and pcb…. just can’t make it myself at the monies involved much less anodize the aluminum as well.
And it’s cool as he! 
If the light is less than $50 it’s a deal, count me in. 
I’m out. I edited my earlier post expressing interest. The level spacing is unacceptable to me.

Pretty sure it says XP-G2. Banggood shows them with 7 XP-G2… at about $65 as listed about an hour ago.
$50 still sounds high for a group buy price….especially with all the interest. We should be shooting for around $42.

As i said in a previous post i’m interested. This light looks like a baby SRK :heart_eyes: with similar output… However i’m curious to see how long it can withstand 2500 lumens. I hope it does not behave like the Manker MK34.
Technically i’m wondering how sound is this design… Why bother with seven leds when you can achieve the same output with a single XHP50 or 70? I understand it would need a boost driver though… That may be why?

I like the 7 light set up. It’s the light those cheap $0.99 should be and they do bear a similar shape and LED count. It’s the mini soda can light. It’s the one you tell your brother you modified from the store yesterday after watching a YouTube video.
