Be careful of your spending (on hobbies)

I keep selling mine for small losses to coworkers, so it's equivalent to grabbing a mocha at starbucks every now and then :).

What you are experiencing is exactly what led to my flashlight rapid detox for two months. Since my escape from the /Torch Treatment Center (/TTC) I've added another 15 lights to my collection. All I can say . . . if you have any electronic access to your money and you frequent this forum, recidivism will be your warm and loving companion.

15 x $50 = $750.

Yep. Sounds about right.

After you figure batteries, drop-ins . . . I have more switches and bezels that I do lights to screw them onto . . . some were less and a few were significantly more. By the way, it's painful to see that number and know that it is real.

Just the one more, eh ?

Yeah, just one more. I don't need throw for LED lights as that is covered by the HIDs and DBS aspheric which can throw nearly as well as a SR90. Triple XM-Ls are very useful for me.

I'll start regretting about it 3 months later. LOL!

Try RC then check your paypal

Already did HiFi/DIY Audio for many years.... so not going down that route again, it's really painful! But actually according to my colleaugues, seriously it's not that expensive unless you go into turbines or you go crashing like crazy (for planes and helis). Lack of space also.

My PP account is now limited or something, they want me to verify with a Photo ID photocopy and latest letter showing my residential address so that they can reinstate me to my regular standing. Some anti-terrorism and anti money launderying thingy because i went over the threshold set in the system and so triggered an alert. *scratch head* It's not phishing, coz i log in to my PP a/c and they have 2 cases opened with me under the Overall tab.

So now just digging out the "old" lights/batteries and try to revisit them and make do. LOL!

And the thing is, RC does not get old or obselete. Flashlights (emitters) do... But XM-L ver 2 with 1200 emitter lumens @ 3A and 1400 lumens @ 4A and same die size would be very nice!

paypal limet my account a few times a year when i go over 10 000 aud aprox

my account was limeted for this build

9500 usd build

a quick video before most of the upgrades

LOL, so your country's "Monetary Authority" also set some stupid limiting rules with Paypal.

Turbine planes/helis are very very nice and prob the most interesting, but i am most amazed by boats best. Simply amazing to be able to go so fast on water.

this was one of mine only good for 130 kmh

1500 AUD just for the motor and pipe combo

Nice.

Is that FF a '96 ?

@ Chigago X its a FFF (ford falcon futura) 95 I6

178 000 k,s on the dial (110 604 miles) she still will do 160 kmh or 100 mph in second, not bad for an old stock australian family car.

Those turbine RC boats are beyond belief. I didn't know such a thing existed.

breathtakingFoy

Looks like you are a hardcore nitro fan, Benckie!

Foy, you can add turbines to everything. LOL! :D But Lipo still can do a lot of things, and do things that turbines can't. But nothing beats the sound of a big turbine.

Nope not nitro,s they are gasers (petrol) modified 25.4cc 2 strokes, the green boat produced 7.5 horse power at 18 800 rpm, power to weight ratio of more then 1:1 (1 hp to 1 kg)

to give you an idea of the size of the monster truck

another gaser

in 12 months i had 13k in paypal recipts to keep that beast going.

but since you like boats

50 inch apache

50 inch bonzi i had this one built in the usa and shipped to australia about 3500 aud landed.

all RC,s i have post where mine and not just pulled of the net.

WOW these are very expensive toys. Guys who own or owned some of this stuff can't complain about the price of any flash light I guess. Even the most expensive flash light is nowhere close to the cheapest of these toys.

You guys are so rich to be is a budget forum (BLF).

Just kidding guys ;)

and Merry Christmas.

Wow, my compliments!! They are beautiful! I love the action shots.

I used to run an Apache similar to the one depicted. It was very fast, until an incident with some flotsam sunk her.

I sold the parts for $2500 less than I paid, and never looked back. Torches are far more affordable than RC.

You gotta love the Down Under folks for their hot-rod attitude. It's like the spirit of the 60s never died, just pushed about a bit by the Green Party.
