[Ended]Groupbuy : Utorch UT01 (XP-L , AA & 14500 battery , e-switch etc)

I’m interested now, 2x NW
Any idea if a T01 copy is coming?

I tested it with Nitecore IMR 14500 but i also have a Efest purple to test tomorrow .

Also the output on AA looks very promising .

what markings does the light have on it ?

Cool!!
How is it with flat top cells? I have efest purple IMR-unprotected that are flat topped.
How is the PWM?

thanks George

You mean logo etc ?

a small Utorch logo on the head , and UT01 on the tailcap .

efest purple must be the best choice . It has a perfect fit (the shorter battery) , and i think it will give maximum output . I’m charging the cell now .

Pwm not visible with bare eye

Same here and no desire for any. Is there any quality (protected) cell out there which is slightly shorter that might work or a ‘workaround’ of any kind which is still safe?

I bought this after probably overpaying/not doing enough due diligence in picking up the ZL SC52 L2; which I like for its 500 turbo lumens, decent throw and it to being an instant (high quality/protected) hand warmer this time of year.

Gaining 20%(?) more lumens by using an unprotected cell (even for this little comparative money) doesn’t make me sleep any better at night. Perhaps I’d feel better if I knew that ZL’s on board protection circuit was comparable yet I’m guessing that it’s not.

Not smart on my part. :person_facepalming:

I am interested in a coupon for NW, thanks!

Would be funny if it would be

I’m sorry but it’s not fare to compare a 60$ ligh with a 17$ one from my point of view .

Ordered 2x NW, thanks!

I wasn’t attempting to compare the two…only ‘moaning’ as to what I had hoped to short cut to (actually somewhat ‘improve’ with the warner tint) using a spare protected cell.

That’s why I was asking about the possibility of another shorter protected cell or an even more unlikely workaround as a $17 light’s protection circuit (possibly) makes (y)our point.

I misunderstood what you said Freedom

I’ll check tomorrow for LVP (low voltage protection) .

You have to hold to turn off? How long?

Yes . 1s or more .

Thanks, George (I should have been clearer).
I just assumed (again) that all Li-ion compatible lights had LVP… ‘so’… I’ve obviously got a lot to learn in 2017 (and this from a guy who bought the first Nitecore CreeQ5 thrower on CPF which pretty much birthed the whole overseas forum market).

Could you pm me the coupon please.

I'd like a coupon please for a cool white version. Thank you!

I am interested in nw please. Thanks
