Anyone tried that light on 10440?
Mike

Not yet. But I’ve heard it works, but do not switch modes.
But…
If in the button is used supercapacitor it is not designed for this voltage. Usually they are designed for 2.5-2.7V

Can be modded :slight_smile:

Is that the real circuit layout? I have been wanting to build one for high current lithium ion lights! Looks like C2/R2 perform debounce or RC network for timing. And C1/R1 provide bias for the FET? D1 is reverse polarity protection for the circuit and zener D2 protects the gate chip (dual inverters?) from over voltage…

Any ideas of component specs or values?

It is real circuit from that torch :slight_smile:

OH!!! I gotta board that up and test some thoughts! Here comes a full size switch board!

It’s a battery, not a capacitor.

It’s a good Seiko capacitor, not a battery.

Just tried. Turns on but doesn’t switch modes.

Switching modes: From off, Mid~~Off>LowOff~~>Hi->Off

If off for more than 2 seconds, it will on in Mid

Yes
You are better off using the Copper Tool if LiIon is your goal
