This looks interesting… I hope they are not only optimized for optics use.
The new Olight s10R III uses it, efficiency is about the same or maybe a tad higher than the XM-L2 judging by the amp draw but there is massive tint shift betweeen hotspot and spill. (Very cool tint at the edge)
I’d rather see them produce a 6V only version using the same process as the MTG-2 or XPG-3 foregoing the 12V option in favor of a clean beam. I for one appreciate the XM footprint since I mostly work with small to medium size hosts.
Anybody seen these for sale yet? I have a light ready for one of these, just waiting for them to come to market. I want to test it and see how it compares to the old XHP50 and XHP70.
Wow, they are more expensive then I had hoped / figured they would be.
At least they have some good tints, too bad they are not high CRI as well. I have a sale pending, I might grab one after that although not sure I will want to risk it by running a test on it since I have a light I want to use it in.
