HaikeLite MT03 & MT07 Group-buy Closed

SMO doesn't exist. Did HL say they would put one in your light?

Yea i asked for it and Alva said they have it for me. i also stated it in my paypal order.

Oh boy. Think they talked bout it, but I didn't think it was available then.

As far as the threads, yea, mine has some issues too, pic from the review:

Dunno, I think I noticed is at the time but didn't think much of it. I always apply Nyogel on the threads anyway, and they felt smooth, even though bare aluminum is showing on the outer 1 or 2 threads, just in isolated spots as well.

I just checked the other end (driver side) and those threads on mine are about perfect - can't notice any bare aluminum there. Mine also has double O-rings on each end.

I'd much prefer a smooth reflector. Are they available for purchase separately?

mmmm… Doesn’t a smooth reflector + XHP 70 = annoying crosshair beam pattern??

IMO someone and I prefer SMO reflector and XHP35 Hi for this big mass alu buffalo.

That sounds like a pretty sweet combo.

That is my understanding too, but I find lumen and throw loss more annoying. Also, I imagine these separated die LED's to eventually be replaced by other types of big emitters as tech marches on.

Im holding my horses on modding it to xhp35hi since there might be a xhp70 hi eventually . The current brightness is unprecedented for a single led production light at this price ……until later when boredom wins patience….maybe :smiling_imp:

How ugly! Looks very worn!

I am very disappointed with the QC
I hope I have no problems

Received both lights today. Initial impression is they look nice, anodizing looks great, threads are cut nice with good close tolerances but there is some anodizing missing. Ordered 8 batteries and received 4.

Got 3 of them  haven’t got around to test all of them yet but one of the MT03 button stuck… can’t change the mode, it’s just blinks non stop, the only way to stop it is to take the batteries out :person_facepalming:

My MT03 switch cover is not good. It’s like the rubber switch cover is made of thick jello; it makes for difficult successive button presses like turbo activation. There’s a lot of squish before activation and there’s a slight delay for the rubber to rebound off the switch. The MT07 switch covers are smaller, and much more solid and tactile.

Initially my MT07 would not function, but after taking the tailcap off a few times it started working. I haven’t been able to recreate the issue.

My 03 only has 4 modes, the 2nd and 3rd mode are the same, it will flicker between 2 and 3 but the output stays the same. No way to test the actual lumens so not sure on output. Of the two I prefer the 07.

Many problems

I have not received it yet and I regret having bought it

There is a difference between 2 and 3—— I did a ceiling bounce test —it’s only about 150 lumens difference

You are probably right, 150 lumen difference would be hard to see. Crazy if they actually made the two levels that close. Went through the levels 9 or 10 times and while looking towards the outer edges of the beam, though I might have seen a difference once. ,While typing this I thought about the reviews and went back and read them as well as the specs from the company. The difference between level 2 and 3 should be way more than 150 lumens and easily noticeable. Still happy with the lights for the money spent.

The money definitely well spent, bad or no QC at best, but it still a GREAT light for the money, it’s quality far from Fenix,Nitecore,Klarus, etc but it’s still decent light, at the moment it might seems like they cranked these lights just to get it out door for the GB.
Rough machining marks on the thread, stiff button switch, scratch easily on the body ( mine came with few fine scratches :expressionless: )
But give it time and input, this company no doubt will grow into a fine one, think of them as early KIA motors.
In the beginning they offered cheap car with cheap stuffs inside the car, but now… they making really great progress.

I wish they offer DIY kit,or at least offer that MT07 in XHP 35 HI for cheaper price.
I bet those deeper reflector will give TN42 a run for their money, especially for the GB price.

Had my first Episode with my MT07 this evening—-tightened head up out of lock out— press the buttons every which kind of way—No Light—the driver plate had loosened up from not being glued—working great now
