Nitecore TIP Winter Edition (version 2) Review

Dude, with the coupon code, that price is unreal! The only thing that held me back from buying these for all my family members was the fear of getting a version 1 model that would die on them all the time. Now that you’ve confirmed the winter editions are version 2, this price is unbeatable!

I don’t think you can swap the colors, red is on the bottom of both the green and the blue.

This review made a light tempting I didn’t care about before. Only excuse holding me back is the tint (I generally dislike CW), unless you tell me that’s OK too

You make a good point lol but you could make your own holes.

I do not mind the tint my self. But you can always get the Nichia variant.

I’ve been trying to find excuses to keep from picking one of these up. The initial problems with parasitic drain, then ‘eye of the beholder’ mixed colors of the winter edition.

I think that now I’m gonna buy at least 2 TIPs Winter Red/Blue. After a while I might swap them to 1 Red and 1 Blue. :laughing:

I realized that cover swap can't be done. Holes at button's places (upper blue or green part) could be covered (e.g. with sugru), but there's not much we can do with screw's threads (they are at the bottom -red at TIP Winter- part) and USB charging port place.

I think you could paint it easily i may try it on mine. I have had enough panting for a week i just done my desk. The sander had the catcher on and still blew dust every where so i had to wash all my stuff lol.

Yea! Now they have an official Nitecore supplier in the UK but they also have one in the USA so i am not sure what the difference is.

Probably, their official UK supplier negotiated that point in their favor whereas their official USA supplier did not.
