Small Fixed Blade Knife

Buy Mora and modify it’s handle as you wish. Make it more compact and make sure it won’t cut anything in your pants.

Here is a smaller ESEE Izula clone.

ESEE Izula

The Bolte Scout might be worth a look too:
Blade length: 3.19” (81 mm)
Blade thickness: 0.173” (4.4 mm)
Blade steel: D2 (60-61 HRC)
Full length: 6.73” (171 mm)
Here is my review.

I’d also go with ESSE clone, but some higher quality - like this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/ESEE-fixed-blade-Neck-knife-IZULA-camping-survival-Pocket-knives-tactical-hunting-Keychain-folding-knives-K/32677998774.html

CRKT minimalist. Couple different blade shapes good sheath all will fit in your pocket if you wish no problem.

Lol

You talk to your wife ?

If you want to say SMALL knife, there is a tonife knife that it seems to be good, neck knife with clip point and leather sheath. And now there are some more from tonife with drop point and some handle colors.

If you want say medium/small knife, the Cima 1 and Cima 1058 are good, you can see them on my blog review.

The hx outdoors the rock is good too, but it is more expensive yet.

How budget? I had one of the older “S&W” clones that I really liked as a neck knife for fishing trips:

…but lost it on a recent trip. I ordered a replacement, but the quality had dropped a lot since I had bought my original several years ago. I then purchased the “Timberline Mini Pit Bull” clone:

…and am thinking I will like this one… I’m sure the blade is just the cheapest 440 stainless available, but for a throw-away/easily-lost knife, it seems decent. The sheath fits loosely, as the reviews say, but I’m hoping to fix that with a heat gun. I polished the blade, sanding the black finish back to the original silver with a Scotch Brite pad (slow afternoon at work) and like that much more than the black paint. The scales are just plastic, but are textured to give good grip. Pretty dull out of the box, but I was able to get a reasonable edge with a whetstone.

I bought one of these from Fasttech Its got a bad grind on one side like some one free hand lol. Not a good freehand job lol

Brusletto balder or knivegg tusk? Tusk comes in carbon or stainless but the stainless doesn’t sound great

Mora Eldris?

First. What is your budget? An actual dollar amount. It’s easy to say cheap or affordable. But with an actual dollar amount its much easier to make recommendations.
I own about 30 small edc type fixed blades and they range in price from about $20 to about $400. From cheap knockoffs to full customs.

So give as much info as you can about your use and budget and they style you like and anything else you can think of and I will give you a few options that will all be excellent.

The Enzo Necker 70 might be something to look at if you’re willing to make scales too. I picked up the flat ground blank for ~$25 and it seems very high quality. Similar profile to an Izula but slightly smaller, much thinner behind the edge.

Any opinions on this Sanrenmu Folding Knife?

I need a decent knife under 2.5 inches-

Hmmm… Sanrenmu 4059:
$7.91/8.31 shipped from FastTech:

Actually looks nice: tip down clip carry (I like), Nice scales, but not a liner/frame lock as I’m used to…

I have one. There is nothing wrong with it , I just don’t really like it. It seems to take up a lot of room in my picket for as small as it is. Don’t get the black blade one, the paint on the blade comes off easy

I carry this when I go to work and have to be under 2.5 inches

Thanks!!

This has been my best find for 2016. Just happen to see it at a local Tractor Supply for $6.99 if I remember correctly. I got it about a week before Christmas. I'm going to check this weekend and if they have anymore at that price I'm buying all of them. Guys at work have already offered me from 15 up to $30.00 for it.

It holds an edge very well, I keep it sharpened at a 25 degree angle that tends to keep the edge stronger.

It clips very nicely in my front pocket. So well I forget it's there.

Overall blade length is 2.59 inches and overall open length is 6.25 inches. A tiny bit more of you count the glass breaker at the end. Light weight super sharp when sharpened correctly and rugged. I take it to work every night. There is even a phone number and serial number to call in case you need to use the lifetime warranty.
