I just read some reviews about the VG10 thinking of purchasing the deal you posted. My personal preference is that I do not like H>M>L UI’s. If I purchased it, I would plan to replace the driver.
Some reviews said the driver was difficult or impossible to remove due to a very firm pressed in driver retaining ring. But I did find one thread that said new versions have a threaded driver retaining ring.
Can you tell is what type of driver retaining ring current VG10 units are using?

Nice thread Thorfire for your specials. Can you please state what countries your specials are good for. Time and time again we are getting US only specials on the likes of Amazon and 90% of the time no shipping to any other country. A lot of other brands are also doing the same thing.

I don’t know why they restrict some items to US only. I’m in the UK and have bought two items from Thorfire and they have also kindly sent me a couple of items for free which I reviewed.
So they can send outside of the US.
Although I noticed a few manufacturers have a started selling stuff only to the US even though they used to send worldwide.
The VG10 has been around a long time, going back 5 years when sold under the Shadow name, basically the same light but minor design, driver, and LED upgrades. The one I bought off of Amazon in Feb 2016 has a nice threaded retaining ring:

The later purchased ones that were checked out didn't have the paper alignment calibration adapter (hhmmm).

Can the pocket clip on the VG 10 be reversed so that the head is down and not up?
There is no specific groove for the clip to be reversed but it does come with a holster if that helps. And the “tactile ring?” under the tailcap can be removed.
