Official specifications:

  • Nominal capacity: 3000mAh

  • Minimum capacity: 2900mAh

  • Nominal voltage: 3.70V

  • Charge voltage: 4.20V 0/-0.05V

  • Standard discharge cut-off: 2.50V

  • Standard charge current: 1000mA

  • Charge current cut-off: 50mA

  • Max. Constant discharge current: 20A

  • Max. Pulse discharge current: 35A




A high current and high capacity 18650 cell from Keeppower.










The two cells tracks perfectly.



At 15A the cells gets warm.



At 20A they get hot enough that I had to terminate the discharge just before the cell is empty.



At 30A the temperature reach 87°C after I terminated.















Conclusion

This is very good high current cells, but watch out for the temperature when running at 20A+.

Looks like a 30Q but comparing the two it seems like this keeppower has better performance.

Nope, on the better performance part.

Here is the graph comparison from HKJ’s comparator. (If you don’t see the image you may post that you don’t see it.)
It matches 30Q.

Looks like the new batches of hg2 mooch has been talking about. He rates this last year of hg2 as a 18-19 amp cell. Says they overheat at 20amps now when they didn’t when they first came out.

The discharge curves look much more like 30Q than HG2.

Seeing HKJ’s battery test comparator I thought it was a disguised 30Q, but after 15A looks like the Keeppower has better performance. Impressive high drain 18650, I hope for some promo prices in the near future…
