Status of my various shipments.

For the first shipments before christmas I have confirmation from X3, TheOnlyDocc, BoringlyUnique, MikeC, prisma, Mitko and Jerommel that they received their packages. Badhakker’s package is still stuck in Moscow, and I did not hear yet from chouster, maukka, ZFL-M60 and Cula if they received their packages.

Today I sent out the second shipments, to badhakker, wieselflinkpro, sixty545, maukka, Sirius9, Kepling, dani-cj, Jerommel and BillyX. I have a package ready for The_Driver, but I did not get his address yet.

Thank you for considering that option. I don’t mind missing out on something when there’s another batch coming next month, but if this really is the only time we’ll have access to these emitters I hope the most people possible get to participate.

We are floating the idea of something like a limit of 5 9080 LED’s per person, per week of the group buy.

So for example someone can reserve 5 LED’s in the first week. If there are still LED’s available the second week the same person can reserve an additional 5 LED’s and so on for the planned 3 weeks of the group buy. Although I doubt they will last past the first week, much less the second.

We are still working out the details but I would like to hear what peoples opinion is on this option.

This is not my stuff, but BLF/CPF-ers usually take everything in 1, 3, 4, or 6 following carclo and ledil optics :wink:

Seeing as they will probably all be gone in the first week, I’d certainly not put the limit above 5. I might like two of them myself.

Yeah I tend to do 4 of most emitters because that allows me some flexibility - 4 individual lights, or a triple and a single, or a quad.

Either way, whatever number you all decide, I think its a very good idea to put some sort of limits in place and allowing those to “reset” on a regular interval makes perfect sense to me. Gives every one a chance.

Any recommendations for quality 50mm TIR optics (triple and quad) for my 4000K Nichias? Sorry to hijack this thread, this was probably the best place to ask without opening a new topic.

Try Ledil. I like Gaggione but they don’t make triple or quad optics.
For multi emitter optics you can try Ledlink, but the quality seems below Ledil.

I have a 50mm triple and quad optic I think I got from fasttech. I have not used it yet but I did stick it over an LED to see the beam profile. It was ok but nothing amazing IIRC. Although it was not properly focused.

I’m planing a triple or quad build powered by 26650 and on top of everything it has to be EDC. I’m in my creative phase :slight_smile: .
Compared to convoy s2 reflector, how do you think these lens from ledil would perform? Better, worse, same (throw and flood wise)?
And finally, where can I buy these optics without braking the bank? Maybe someone from Finland could help :slight_smile: .

But 219C seems OK with almost any optics, unlike the 144AM/AR
