KD (kaidomain): Deals and new products thread

It’s look like stamped from thin copper plate. Edges are rounded, and aren’t flat as KawiBoy1428 said. If compared to other top quality like Noctigon it seems to be very weak.

But for this price I think we didn’t get more.

Carclo 20mm optic seems more clearer than KD optic and better light transmission

and the carclo look to have slightly more clearance for the emitter base. Wont be resting on top of the emitter.

Anyone has used a KD triple board + optic combination yet to see if these potential issues are actually a real problem?

As far as the board goes: It takes two minutes to sand it flat (I always flatten my boards, I wish I could get the pills as flat as the boards), they are copper and are DTP and therefore will be as good as any DTP board in heat performance.

About the optic: it looks like it will be closer to the led indeed which could potentially damage the led, but may also extract a bit more light out of the led. I’m curious about the beam.

djozz, can you please measure full height of KD triple set (board+optics)? Mine one is still on the way.

The board plus optics in correct position is 7.4mm but there’s an issue, the legs, when fully inserted up to where the ‘stops’ are (which I assume is the correct optical position, and the optic just not touches the silicon of the leds there), they stick out on the underside of the rather thin 1.0mm board by .7mm.So the optic plus full legs is 8.1mm. Seems like the optic is made with a 2mm board thickness in mind. Nothing you can’t sand off though…

Hmmm… The picture shows the optics resting on the LEDs, not on the ‘stops’.
I had noticed that too with my triples.
Had the board been the regular 1.6mm thickness, it would prevent that from happening, the optics would then be 0.1mm above the LED.

I don’t follow. The “stops” of the optic and the LEDs both rest on the upper surface of the board, independent of its thickness?

In real life it would ‘stop’ on the surface (a.k.a. shelf) where the MCPCB is placed on.
That is, when you don’t file down the ‘legs’ of the optic.

has anybody ordered the KD Nichia 219c triple and not (yet) received it? Are there any potential issues at customs/cargo atm? Ordered on day 1 of the deal and it has been 35+ days without anything yet

Thinks seem to be very slow, I ordered from another vendor on 11/26 and the package is not here yet. They do show it went to the shipper.

Hi friend

Please PM me your order number or you can send an email to sales@kaidomain.com for further assistance.

I think there is peak season for the package delivery and the weather condition is not good for some location.

It may cause some package are delayed.

I am sorry for any inconvenience cause to you.

Thanks

Ban

Thanks, Ban!

PM sent, happy to wait a few more days due to Christmas/NY delays.

thank you for taking care of BLF.

My order on Dec 24th should arrive today - it's at my local post office. Ordered 4 of the XPL2 V6's and couple more of your DTP MCPCB's. I really like them in black. Please keep those prices on the DTP MCPCB's! Your discount keeps them competitive, but if your discount expires, your qty pricing does not match up well against intl-outdoor's.

To me it's not worth paying more for a preferred color.

In fact it would be great if you updated your qty pricing based on the discounted price .

I’m not sure about Kaidomain, but Gearbest uses permanently ‘discounted’ prices on items to prevent using coupon codes or store ‘points’. Nevertheless: keep those prices as low as they are

Ban, about the DTP triple board, as seen in the picture a couple of posts above, they do not fully match the optic that comes with it, or the optic is wrong: the broadening of the legs are at the wrong height for this board. Could you take a look at it?

I think it would be better if they look at better boards too . It would be great if board thickness was 1.5mm - 2mm .

They should be 1.6mm thick and all (potential) problems would be solved.

Should make the triple boards like their single emitter boards, those are real nice! :+1:

Yes they are. :+1:
Very very similar to Noctigon actually.
Maybe they’re even from the same factory.
They are the ‘normal’ 1.6 mm thick.

C'm00n! Stop moaning about those triple parallel 3535 boards' thickness. They probably got some sort of nice deal for a batch of 'em with that thickness and they went with it. They got the message already, but hell they're not going to dump all of that crapload of boards in stock just because of this.

[Gross mode mostly disabled]

Also, triple series 3535 DTP copper boards are nowhere to be seen. This is likely to be related to a proportionally low sales volume for the triple series aluminium boards, which may have to do with the series configuration, but is also substantially related with the fact that the alu boards were not DTP. I wouldn't complain at all for aluminium DTP triple series boards.

Back to my lair.

Cheers ^:)
