Basen Batteries Any Good ???

I have a torch that’s quite length sensitive and came across Basen batteries today which I#d never heard of before, does anyone know if they’re any good of I should should stick with the more tried / tested like efest

Funny you mention this. My brother in law got an ecig for Christmas which contained one of these Basen batteries. First time I heard of it too.
Do a search on Google and there are some capacity tests done on them. From memory, they start to warm up when putting out over 20A

Check the link below. It is very informative for 26650 batteries.

The Basen is ranked as One of the TOP 5 that “Mooch” tested.

My hometown dealer sells them for a great price along w/ all his other L.ion batteries.

Just noticed you are across the pond!! My hometown dealer may not be feasible for you!

Take a look if the li-ion review guru HKJ has tested these:

A few links to some reviews you will also find here:

We had a group buy on them:

32A continuous is pretty good

They are okay nothing to spectacular. Okay for high amp applications but most 26650 have a higher amperage draw overall compared to 18650s. They had the group buy on BLF as lionheart said Some cells do not match very well so they should not be used in a series config mainly differences in capacities. There are also slightly different colour Basin cells that offer higher capacity so you need to be careful when buying them. As far as i know Banggood sells them and M4X should have a coupon for them. Or check out the liitokala 26650s.

HKJ did NOT test the Basen 26650

Your other links did not test the Basen 26650 either.

I bought 2 X Vappower 26650 for my U21vn. They work well and WERE tested both by “Mooch” and HKJ. Got them for $20/shipped.

Down the road when they wear out or I need another 26650 IMR I will take the 1.5 mile hike to Liionwholsale where I can get a Basen IMR 26650 for only $7.98,no shipping cost! For others in the States you will find that Jon is very fair and his prices are hard to beat. For me they can’t be beat because SHIPPING cost is eliminated and I do not have to wait……i just drop by and pick them up.

One example of his great customer service. I had a Efest charger w/ a minor problem. The warranty for Jon’s responsibility had expired. I believe that is 30 days.it was 9 months old,he exchanged it and saved me from sending it back to China which would not have been worth it. Shipping would have exceeded the cost/value of the charger!

My Basen 26650 batteries won’t fit in most lights as they are quite thick.

I never had any Problems with the Basens from the Group-Buy - and I have 11 26650 lights - ?

If it makes any difference or if anyone has experience with them it’s actually their 18350’s I was looking at which seem to be about 1mm shorter than most of the other makes.
