HaikeLite MT03 & MT07 Group-buy Closed

Hmm, maybe I misinterpreted the picture. I’ve read the extremely protruding switches of the first versions will be replaced by much flater ones and it looked like those are more flat. The perspective could be misleading.

The MT03 has a new switch and metal plate with four screws; check it out on the website. I have not seen changes on the MT07.

Yes, sort of IMO, but since I was actually the guy who originally came up with the shoe lace saying, it was mentioned in my post when I first got my lights because when I opened the box I was stunned, yours I would consider quit a step up from what I got and my mention of a shoe lace was because I honestly thought it was A Shoe Lace,
I wasn’t trying to be funny one bit, I actually looked under the foam thing thinking there would be a lanyard or something, but not even an extra O ring, my lights, both, looked like they had been used and just put in the box and shipped,
This is exactly what I saw when I opened my MT03, No Joke and why I am so upset, and same with the MT07 except it had some sticky plastic over the lens but the rest was just like this pic of my MT03
Imagine my thoughts, from excitement to “What Is This”, $200, down the toilet

well atleast u guys got a shoelace whereas i got nothing lol

paypal dispute alert

Speaking of which, how do we go about filing a paypal dispute? I have given Haikelite more than enough time to get their shit together and they have done nothing, so I’m ready to go forward with this.
I’ve never filed a paypal dispute before, what do I do exactly? I mean, I did receive a product, but it was nothing like what they described, and a partial (if not full) refund seem fair. Does anyone know the process?

I assume you ordered it directly from them, and being they are not responding, you have ample grounds to open a PP dispute with them. I found it fairly easy to go thru the PP website screens. I can't recall the exact verbiage they use, but you basically open up a 2 way message conversation with the seller under control and audit by PP, but PP does not get involved. If they fail to respond at all to the PP opened conversation, you win automatically.

Believe me, PP is not in business to lose money, so if enough of these disputes are opened where HaikeLite doesn't respond, or gets to a PP ruling against them, PP will drop them like a hot potato, and I would think HaikeLite wouldn't want that.

If you want to play, gotta play by the rules - hope they don't learn the hard way.

Ohh - bout the lanyard, paracord, string, shoe lace, or whatever you want to call it, it's pretty sad to see it go from a really nice fancy knot, practical lanyard to a simple straight cut piece, or nothing at all. To be fair, on their website it has nothing at all I could find about a lanyard. On BangGood, it does spec a lanyard included, and I'd say a lanyard is not a piece of rope.

I never cared for a product listing where it doesn't include a "what's in the box" list.

So… still no sign of package movement whatsoever. Send a pm but no response yet. Wondering if this should be the time to do my first PayPal dispute or hold on a bit longer. Otoh with CNY getting closer things won’t be expected to move faster I guess.

Ugh :person_facepalming:

You should have 180 days from the date of purchase to file a PayPal dispute. I’d start thinking about that at 60+ days when waiting for packages coming from China.

Do all of you guys want to get together and file one at the same time, that way they might be more apt to do something about it?

You can get MT03 for $99, promo code in description https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8xrP6BK2hI

Also, as you can see in the review his threads are the same as ours so group buy received the same flashlights, not rejected ones.

2s2p tested, brightness is probably the same as Olight x7.

Check out at 6 minutes and 20 seconds (and 7 minutes 38 seconds). The button switch stops glowing blue, and sort of stutters a bit. Is this supposed to happen related to a step-down, or is the light buggy here as well?

I really wish I would have purchased the 2s2p version, as it seems like the 2s2p version meets the claimed specs.

Well, I got sick of waiting for their reply (I’ve given them MORE than enough time IMO!) and I filed a paypal dispute. Let’s see if this gets their attention.

I know it’s been said to the effect that 2S2P appears to be the better one but mhanlen also had issues. See post #252

That’s the moment when batteries went under 50%, blinks two times every 10 seconds.

Aha! A bit odd looking though… Cheers.

For what it is worth, I purchased an MT103 outside of this GB on Nov 14th, and received it here in France on the 30th Dec.

I got the shoelace, o-rings and light, but no plastic bag, alas. However, I am pleased to say I think my 4S version is behaving correctly, blue switch light and all. I have no way of measuring the output, but all the modes work well and on turbo I have managed to blind several cows and set fire to the woods nearby. I assume all is well with the Devourer’s power as I have a Sunwayman D40A as a house torch and its turbo output is bang on the same as the 1000 lumens middle mode of the Haikelite. Turbo on the MT103 is brighter than a full beam headlamp from the car by some margin.

I use the torch mainly for walking the dogs at night (we get some boars here that aren’t too friendly and I enjoy scaring the crap out of the deer) and I still have yet to recharge my Sanyo GA’s. I like everything about the light to be honest - but judging by what seems to have gone on I have obviously been very lucky.

I did contact Alva several times during the transaction and he replied every time quite courteously, so heaven knows what has really happened. I’m saddened that so many of you seem to have been dealt a bum deal on what has been a great purchase for me. My condolences…… :frowning:
