Which movie did you watch lastֻ

Today I saw Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.

It seems like I've been waiting to see this film for quite a while now.

It's not as good as the other live-action Resident Evil movies, but at least it wasn't boring.

A few weeks ago I saw La La Land, and I didn't like it because most of the film was extremely slow and tedious.

Back to Resident Evil...

It's film six in the series, and if you've seen the first five, you might as well watch The Final Chapter.

I am very happy to report that in Part Six, we return to Raccoon City and The Hive!

I don't want to spoil the movie, so I'll leave it at that.

Today viewed “The Founder,” based on the beginning of MacDonalds restaurants by the MacDonald brothers and Ray Croc.

Terrific acting, great story, good pace and (interestingly) a morality play about salesmanship, greed and business.

Highly recommended. A “sleeper” winner for 2017 films.

I watched bob the streetcat. a movie about a streetcat accompanying a former drug addict recuperating. Really nice show about how cats can bring luck and positive change in a human being. And hacksaw ridge was AWESOME!

I watched Snowden tonight.

T2: Trainspotting weekend just gone. Late night show but cinema was empty, 300 seats and about 20 people :frowning:

I enjoyed the film, the original was an iconic film for my generation and this one didn’t ruin it, good but not iconic like the original.

The Handmaid

The Girl with all the Gifts.

Interesting take on Zombies.

Worth a watch.

Eloise (2017)
A fairly run of the mill ghost flick set in an abandoned insane asylum.

Split. Worth the money .

Watched Contact on Netflix last night. Great movie. Must have seen it ten times since it came out almost 20 years ago.

Had nothing to do, ended up watching Zootopia. Surprisingly mature-minded for a Disney movie, moreso the Portuguese dub, heh.

That was almost 2 months ago, just so you can see how much of a “cinema buff” I am :stuck_out_tongue:

I just saw Dead Calm (1989).

Most of the movie is slow and very frustrating.

I would not recommend it.

That’s the good kind of necro.

Haha!

I was going to post in the "Favorite movies of all time ?" thread, but I didn't care for the film.

Fair point, fair point

Just watched “Kite” (“A Kaito”) last night.

Dunno if it qualifies as a “movie”, as it’s actually a car2n (“mangia”, which I think is Italian for “eat! eat!”). Rather graphic, but fun.

Originally got a butchered version that didn’t match the subs at all, so went a-looking online and found other versions that were dubbed instead of subbed. Eh, whatever works…

The day before was “Den Skyldige” (“The Guilty”) which I mentioned in the other thread. Great flick… ain’t gonna spoil it. If you liked “Locke”, you’ll love this one.

Losing a lotta OTA channels lately, can’t watch my stories, so am finally getting the chance to hit the movie-bin…

Just watched “Inside Man” before going to work on the afternoon shift.

Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, Jodie Foster. From 2006.

:+1: :+1:

Nice, family cinema. History of loving father ready to sacrifice anything to support family.
Mike

…and they all stay together, right up to the very end.

It’s actually a pretty good flick.

Vukmir Vukmir’s a hoot!
