What is your favourite light at the moment?

Astrolux S41S, but not sure about Blue tint problem
this should be the best EDC flashlight if it doesnt have those problems

My brass CNQG triple.
I’ve yet to find a light that is so compact yet classy being brass made.
The patina that developped since I own it gives it a classical look.
It’s more a host though, because there’s nothing stock in there, neither the switch, driver, led or optic !

I tend to carry its little brother AA (swapped with a 219C sm305) which I found equally attractive apart from the somewhat basic stock driver (L-M-H rather well spaced) and of course less lumens.

In stock form, I love the Lumintop Tool ! Good mode spacing, great machined body and so light it disappears in your Pocket !
The 2*AAA Lumintop IYP365 is also really good !

EDC lights:

I use to like Convoy S2+ triple LEDs but now i felt in love with Utorch UT01 (AA) as it can do about 400 lumens with AA nickel metal hydride battery which is amazing.

It’s a nice little light with programmable modes but some people complaint the switch issue. I can’t complaint much for the low price i paid.

Medium size flooder:

I love my Thorfire VG10 modified to quad leds with illuminate tail switch

Big heavy duty lights:
I love my Convoy L6 with modified resistor to the driver

and I also have room to love Thorfire S70 which is on the way from shipping

Thrower lights:
Utorch UT02 (nice pocketable thrower) but i love my AceBeam K70 more.

I only like flashlights and I am not a flashaholic

Nico, there’s a meeting downtown this weekend at 2 PM. You might want to be there… :stuck_out_tongue:

i have to get an express air ticket Dale

I feel kinda odd in australia as we dont have many flashlight lovers here.

I manage to influence 2 mates into flashlight after i mod their lights and i need to infect them more hahah

It’s my EDC and goto light for most tasks:

Manker E14 / Astrolux S41 with Nichia 219B

My EDC manker u11 is favorite, last month till now

You have Cutter, which says a lot. You have MRsDNF, PinkPanda and a slew of other flashlight “mates” over there, all upside down. Plenty of addiction going on over there for the meeting in downtown Sydney or Melbourne or wherever.

Have many fav lights as whittled down many of unused or not too nice ct/tint’s/UI . So most of what i ave these days are used/enjoyed in various ways/uses. So cant pick a single fav , here are a few right now in different sizes that are fav’s.

Work light- would be the simple P1 with an oveready 219b mule, single mode 300lm of hi cri flood…………………in a host that bounces=perfect for me.

Small light, e14vn mule of 4000k and 5000k 219b’s and xpl HI/HD. Well not too little as its in 18650 form, find it just better balanced in hand with a little extra length. Bright……………very much so!

Tiny light! cooyoo quantum has been my key chain light for a good while now, great little light.

Big light/s-rc40vnT and x65vn with 5000k xhp HI’s for a real nice CT

As far as EDC it’s the olight h1 nova all the way. Really versatile. I can pocket carry, use the headband, or even shirt pocket. The magnet let’s you use it as a work light. Add in that the magnetic charger is pocketable as well and I’m not carrying much else these days.

Take away EDC and my favorite is my custom 1x26650 convoy l2 with the mountain electronics moonlight special driver @ 5amps with an xpl v6. Hits around 1600 lumens.

The BLF A6 in 5A tint .

Eagtac TX30C2 http://www.eagletac.com/html/tx30c2/index.html, big XHP35 performance in a smallish pocketable design.

I got HC30 days ago. It’s a portable and very useful flashlight. Because of it’s small size and light weight, it get hot really fast. I hope nitecore make more fins. lol

And I feel like the ATR isn’t working. I don’t have any tool to measure temperature righ now. I will check it later.

Dale , you like that ut02 over your olight m2x or the 2x shooter? Don’t both of those have more throw than the ut02?

I like the M2X Javelot quite a bit, and I like the Nitecore P30 too. Somehow the UT02 gets used for it’s combination of distance and lumens output.

Please help me understand. All else being equal, with the same emitter and battery combo, shouldn’t all three lights produce the same lumens… just with different beam patterns?

A new favorite, the DQG III.5.

Mule configuration CXA1512F at 5000K 95CRI. It’s drawing 20.1V and 1A from the 26650 cell for 1918 lumens in Turbo, 4 lumens in Low. Zero artifacts, rings, or tint changes, it’s just really a beautiful output. The idea was to assist me in macro photography with the flashlight held at the end of the lens and no hotspot, even from about 6” away. Works perfectly, the high mode at 689 lumens is probably sufficient for most shots.

Man, “favorite” is difficult! Been using my new Jetbeam u with a neutral 219C swap the most lately as a guide light thru the house at night as my toddler son (a flashaholic in training!) has been getting up frequently each night due to molars coming in. One of his first words was “flashlight”

Outside of that, I’d say Convoy S2 with SMO reflector and XP-L HI and illuminated tailcap. Convenient size, reasonable throw for a tube light, etc. Very handy overall.

Nitcore P36 How can one beat an MT-G2 emitter’s tint and 2k lumens. oh ya 10 easy levels to choose from. Bada bing.

on the other extreme I use my Xtar h2 219C swapped for stock emitter every day.

BTU Shocker with 3 9V MT-G2 and 10,000 lumens, trump card.
