What's Your Thoughts On GEARBEST

You may get fakes from Amazon too; always check: amazon commingled inventory - Google Search

Gearbest has a new spamvertising tactic:

When we see J. Random Blogger posting a recommendation with a GB link, it’d be worth asking “do you actually own that now, or are you trolling to get one free?”

Sigh. I’d think this breaks the FTC rule on compensation for online recommendations.

a shame that more and more “gearbest deal” threads are showing up now… with mostly the same codes but a different affiliate ID.

This has been my experiences as well with GearBest. My only bad experience thus far has been with Bangood.

I usually do a small order or two to see how a retailer is and go from there. They are a great resource if you want to save a few bucks and are not in a hurry for what you are ordering.

Bob

they’re OK

i used to have problems with them not accepting my credit card, they may have fixed that

shipping is slow, but no worse than the other chinese cheap sites

they do have a lot of stuff

wle

Had my share of issues but it all got fixed
From the bigger shops they usually are cheapest.

It gets a bit annoying all those “deal topics” just a bit too much IMHO
I like their official deal thread and if I want something I know M4DM4X is the person to talk to so those deal topics do not benefit me. (But please let it be, BLF ia just a friendly place with space for that kind of thing too so …)

I have placed 57 orders from Gearbest with mixed results. Their prices are untouchable except for wholesale I get from a few companies. Shipping is pretty hit & miss. I have had two orders never show up and it takes forever to get refunded. Name brand products there are good meaning a Nitecore, thrunite, fenix light will be genuine. The thorfire and Ultrafire (or all “fire’ brands) I would stay away from. As a whole, unless an item comes from a US-Warehouse, shipping is slow as molasses.
I got several Lumintop TD16 lights for $34 recently and they arrived promptly and thats a screaming good deal on an excellent quality light. Coupon Code is TD16GB.
I bought two Utorch UT02 lights from them which is a Manker U21 basically and their price is excellent. I found them to be a slightly brighter version of the U21 foe less money and GearBest had them to me in 12 days.

All cells I received that are not “fire” branded have been genuine and I have bought a lot of them. There is a problem with buying Li-Ions from China currently. Fedex or DHL through the UAE are the only option for cells from China so shipping wrecks the pricing. I’m is California so I buy from three sources (online) for batteries and all three are reasonable and very reputable:
Illumination Supply in San Jose CA
Li-Ion Wholesale in PA
Mountain Electronics (MTN Electronics)

All three have supplied me 100% legit and genuine NEW cells. Fast shipping and good prices.

I cannot find a US Source for Liitokala 26650 cells (baby blue) which are absolutely awesome. Anybody know of one??

I have had no problems with Gearbest ever.
(hope it stays that way)

I’ve placed 19 orders with them, most of the orders were fine other than a few banged up hosts (scratched/dented reflector, missing parts). However, I will never purchase another product from them. I had to file a paypal dispute the last time because my order never arrived and after a month Gearbest was still wanting me to wait to see if it would show up…I’m sorry…a month after FedEx in my area showed receiving the package, of course I wasn’t going to get it if FedEx lost it a month earlier :person_facepalming:

Don’t blame me I am original gearbest poster lol well maybe second . I post like twice a week. To damn lazy. Partly why there are other threads now.
We are all meant to have different deals because we have different reps we talk to. Generally speaking there is no gearbest thread like M4D because gearbest has The cheapest prices on most items so they don’t discount like that. On the odd occasion if I ask for a code they may give it to me…If I see some thing good I post it Like the Singfire 348 on sale now. What other lights offer a real XPG2 for $4. Cheap and good looking.

I’m waiting on GB item now (UT01)…used their Priority shipping for couple bucks extra…turns out IT’s actually INTERNATIONAL BRIDGE partnered with USPS First Class with tracking….Trouble is, it arrived to US in only 6 days, according to tracking… Great I thought….BUT now over 15 days in US and no updates, no movement, no Nothing. WTH?

Anybody else have problems with International Bridge in US? I turned a ticket in to GB…stated I felt it had been lost. Don’t know what they will say.

When should I open up a PayPal claim…I have alerted GB already.

At least the tracking doesn’t say DELIVERED…so maybe there’s still a chance. But I fear the worst on this one.

Good experience with them. Had a defective Manker T01 and they sent me another. Still have the defective one but the driver works on it. Problem was with the tailcap. So I have a Manker and a half for the price of one.

Here’s a thought. I did some Googling for International Bridge as this is who GearBest partners with on shipping. One hit identifited IB as hooked up with *“EverBuying” !!
*
There have never been as many negative things said as they say about “EverBuying” on the internet reviews.

After my continuing Fiasco with current order, I never want International Bridge shipping again.

Oh, I emailed International Bridge (apparently here in US ???) Dunno… Got a response from a Mary May Quiblatin tellin me the same crap I already knew…no help at all.

I’m thinking GearBest is OK…it’s just this shipping partner with IB that STINKS

Buyers Beware

I got my Convoy L6 in 3 days from Gearbest. They have stepped up their game lately. My BANGGOOD ordering had all but ceased. International bridge is kinda wonky, but sometimes it’s good!

So far no issues …
Just make sure what ever you buy is in stock …

Otherwise you may have to wait for the item to be restocked , and some times that can take long enough for some folks to get all warm about …

I’ve been waiting for a month now on a charger. The item is pre-advised since jan 25. I’ve received objects that I ordered after it from them. Just send them a message see how long it ttakes to get an answer. This is the first time I had troubles with GB. I really want/need that charger een thinking about ordering a new one from somewhere else and pen a paypal dispute to get my money back.

I’ve only had one problem with Gearbest in the years I’ve been a customer. In general, they ship out within a couple of days, but the arrival time is mostly on the slow side compared to Banggood from my experience.

Liitokala li500 for around $16 on AliExpress if you have an adapter
But just open ticket and then, the trick, PM CSGearbest here on BLF with your ticket number, it will be good in no time

I bought 4 Olight S15R’s and 2 S30’s from Gearbest a year or two ago when they were having a big sale. Both S30’s eventually had problems, and I sent them to Olight customer service in the U.S. Olight replaced both for free under their warranty, so I’m thinking they were genuine Olight products.
