Lumintop Tool Ti - Lighted Switch

good thinking and very cool! :sunglasses:

How did you make 3 modes on a 10440?

Thanks for the comments guys, always appreciated :+1:

.

Magic!

It must be due to the added LED & resistor. I haven’t started working on drivers yet.
I did not expect it to work but now by fast pressing the switch the light cycles through the modes without turning off. Same mode order.
If i turn the light on, wait 3 seconds and press the button again it will turn off.

Here’s a picture of what i did.

1+ ground ring to resistor to LED+ . LED- to 2-capacitor.

The ground ring is positively fed through the light body from a bleed resistor on the driver i believe.
The 2- connects to the battery-.
I have not tested the light with a 1.5v cell.

Experiment at your own risk

Hah, nice going there, Isaac Clarke  :+1:

Can you post bigger image? Thanks, Mike

Now I will do my impression of …stunned . WTH !

Simply stunning!

Yeah i must admit, this one is really cool! I love it

It would not be difficult for the manufacturer to make these stock with some small changes to the light.
They would sell like hotcakes, remember though, you saw it here first

Wow. I am so envious of your skills. and your lights.

Very cool!

Amazing! Really… I’m amazed with your mods everytime I see them Stevi!

That is a really fine bit of work!

CRX !

It seems problems will him never vex

As his fine mental muscle will flex

With ridiculous ease

Showing great expertise

He manipulates tiny objects

As he speedily does more projects

He makes simple what should be complex

He has talent so rare

And a marvelous flair

For producing such awesome effects

As for modding , the Bell Curve he wrecks

He's continually at the apex

For it seems every day

He puts on a display

I can't wait to see what he does next !

Thanks guys, and a wee poem from Jack  :+1:

Stunningly beautiful light. Congrats on and thanks for sharing your mods to this light. I so want to replicate it, but in my case I want to stick to Ni-Mh. Gonna have to put on my thinking cap.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, have you posted regarding the finish? Looks like you anodized it and then polished off some of the anno from the high surfaces. Very, very hansom indeed.

Thanks mate, I use JB Weld on hot lights or fine graphite powder or silicone carbide and clear devcon epoxy.

I’ve done this with most of my SS & Ti lights

let’s see your BLF348 :sunglasses:

I gave that away to DavidEF

Oh, yeah, that table of pics jogged my memory. You had a post on that finishing process a ways back. What a gorgeous line up of lights. I really got to remember that and try it out. Thank you CRX :)

THAT is wicked cool!! WOW!! I LOVE it!!
