New GearBest zanflare F2

I Haven’t seen any mention of this light here yet; I was just poking around on Gearbest, noticed that they have a page up for their new zanflare F2.

200 Lumen XP-G3 2xAA with battery level indicator. Appears to have a cool and neutral white option.

Output level seems a bit low and the strobe does not appear to be hidden, but I suppose it could use the long press like the Bistro firmware to activate.

What are your initial thoughts?

either that led is XP-G2 or LB fake led, not xp g3

Why not usb recharge

The picture of the reflector seems to be generated with a computer, not a real shot

I see what you mean, the die does not look like an XP-G3. However, I know that Gearbest tried to get everything right with their first light , I doubt they would throw that all away by lying about their emitter. I would assume that the light is not yet in production, and the pictured is a prototype. I don’t see that being a LB LED.

Finally. I was looking for cheap 2 x AA flashlight for my car and general use at home and it fits perfect.
Smooth reflector, 2,8 cm head, XP-G3 diode makes 200 meters beam distance. This is how it should be done.
Let’s see first review.
Any info about discount?

there are 2 things i dont know why
1:Why IP68(not ipx8?)
2:Why 200 lumen( my acebeam pt10 2 AAA can reach 360 lumen)

I’ve never been able to hit the bin lottery on the XPG3’s. If this had a 5000k nichia in it, and no strobe, I’d be all over it.

This is what I have been asking ThorFire and Simon/Convoy to build.
Great gift lights for people. Nice quality, bright and “regular” batteries!

GB will send out a few for review soon. We will see what they truly are.

when they write X in an IP indication means that the X value is not specified.
So IP68 means mechanical resistance 6, water resistance 8
IPX8 means mechanical resistance not specified, water resistance 8

I like the oblique/spiral knurling of the Zanflare flights. Looks quite unique.

No review offers from GB yet?

can’t wait for a review of this light

Is it a mistake, or is the runtime at hi (200 lm) level only .63 hours?? If it dims down to medium and continues running for some time then maybe that might be acceptable. But if it just goes off or very dim after only 36 mins on hi with 2xAA, then that seems really short. Seems like a terribly inefficient driver.

I just ordered one, so maybe I’ll try my first attempt at a review in a couple of weeks if no one else posts one by then.

This light is seducing me… Helpppp!!!

Resistance is futile.

This forum will be the end of me (if my wife finds out I bought 5 flashlights in less than 24 hours).

Have one on the way for review!

Now at gearbest for $12.99 code F2DEAL

Nlooks like a nice 2*AA light.
