UltraFire UF-10 - Osram KW CSLNM1.TG - 16500 - Lighted Switch

UltraFire UF-10 OSRAM KW CSLNM1.TG - DD - 16500 - Rv Clicky Lighted Sw - 640lm.

I figured there was just enough space to fit a 16500 cell in this light but would need a couple more millimetres so I have filed down the brass pill threadside to create more space in the battery compartment and made the light direct drive.

OSRAM KW CSLNM1.TG
Direct Drive
Aspheric Lens
Lighted magnetic reverse clicky tail switch
Length – 82mm/ 93mm
Width – 26mm
Weight – 104g (with 16500 cell)
Max – 640/ 250lm - 4.5A

I made the lighted switch from some copper wire, copper sheet, two white 1206 LED's, resistors, UV glue and JB Weld. This light has had a few different emitter installed:

Cree XP-L HI v2 1A:
Max – 1120lm/ 406lm - 4.5A
29000cd/ Throw – 340m

Nichia 319AT SM655 D440F2 6500K:
Max – 1036lm/ 392lm - 5.2A
17000cd/ Throw – 260m

Luminus SST-20 5000K L3 DA:
Max – 870lm/ 350lm - 5.3A
30500cd/ Throw 349m

OSRAM KW CSLNM1.TG 6N 15:
Max – 640lm/ 250lm - 4.5A
60000cd/ Throw 490m

A very rough comparison.

wow, CUTE!
like the projected die!

Well done CRX. Your mind must live at 100 MPH.

Your work is impressive, as always. Great work!

Nice!

Nicely done… I love seeing the mods that get done on this little light. I got mine around the same time as my Astrloux S1. Its a nice light but does lack in its stock form. I really want to mod my F-10 to at least have a warmer tint. Compared to be the 3D tint in the S1 this light is just too blue. Plus since the body is so thick I think it could easily be bored out to fit an 18350. Tho some extra work to get an 18500 in there would be really awesome. Just need the motivation to do it.

Hey CRX, which resistor on the driver did you bypass to crank up the amps? I see two 1R5’s and the other thread about the UF10 doesn’t specifically mention which one. I purchased 2 of these lights and plan on testing out different configurations to see which I like best. I definitely want max output though. Thanks!

(photo is TomE’s. It’s the only picture of the driver I could find. Hope he doesn’t mind :innocent: )

Hi mate, I believe it was the 1R5 between the two black SMD’s on the original driver, you can see it in this pic.
An R220 soldered over the 1R5.

Factory:
1.11A on high mode
0.33A on low

R220 mod:
2.40A on high mode
0.70A on low.

CRX, thanks for the help!

No problem, 2.4A is still pretty low for this light if you want it to be a pocket rocket, I’m not sure how high you can go with the stock driver but would be interesting to see what you make of it :+1:

Nice mod CRX. Well done with the battery upgrade. :+1:

Cheers mate, yeah it really makes a big difference cramming the 16500 in there.
