Review: ReyLight Ti Lan Proto

I wish we could arrange a direct Group Buy through Rey instead of a third party

I second this!!!

I wish I could do, like always. It’s just too busy with the job. Don’t have enough time to ship the orders.

Anyway, anywhere, anytime, I’m responsible to all my products. If the seller is not helping out, I’m always here.

You do really well Rey, and we all appreciate you, probably more than you know.

+1
Appreciate if you can give us a hands up once this gorgeous light is ready to buy.

I will get one.

agree!

Other than MassDrop where will these be on sale? BangGood?

Are these on massdrop now ?.

The Pineapple is on massdrop right now and it’s been that way a couple other times. I think the plan is for the Ti Lan to be available that way as well, but it’s not anywhere yet.

Well, in anticipation of the imminent release of the Ti Lan, I have a few updates to share.

I ground off the lanyard tabs on my Pineapple and Ti Lan. They were bothering me and I don’t use lanyards much these days.

I like my lights a bit floodier so I filed, sanded, and polished a 45 degree optic to make it fit. Not a great plan (the optic is 20mm, the space is 16mm). It works but was a lot of work.

Luckily the optic allows me to add a big green glow sticker.

My trits finally arrived so here’s some glamour shots with all trits in place.

Agree

What do you say Rey ?.

Sorry, I did not have enough fund to pre-pay for the factory. So I turned to MD. Next batch, I will do it.

Awesome.

I bought the Pineapple Brass as soon as it was available and it immediately became one of my favourite EDCs.
At first I was sceptic about the rings in the beam (I am usually very anal about beam quality) and the lanyard loop but none of these two bother me at all in actual EDC use.
IMO it is one of the best affordable AA/14500 lights on the market because of the useful beam pattern, the classy design with no annoying logos or text, the perfectly functional and minimalistic pocket clip, a perfect mode spacing with the super useful true moonlight mode, the nice mechanical tailcap with very fast and intuitive UI and most importantly the lovely high CRI tint.
I will definitely buy the titanium version, too.

I would love to see a copper version , maybe with a frosted front lens from the factory, too.

@ Gunga:

  1. What is the best way to attach the trit tubes on the light. I remember hearing something about a Norland Optical Adhesive. But they have tons of different versions on their website. What did you use?
  2. I love the deep carry clip on your Zebralight and I have been looking for something like that for my SC32w. Is it possible to buy this clip somewhere or is this your own custom work?

Thanks

Hi there. I use norland 61 I get from mixglo.com.

It is cured with uv light or sunlight.

The clip is from here.

Unfortunately out of stock. The holes need to be lengthened for the zebralight bolt spacing.

Do we have any updates on this light?

Where can i preorder it?

It will be available on Massdrop after one week. (maybe more days.)

It’s up!
