[GB ended,discussion only] CRI > 80+ NICHIA 2000K-6500K [E21A/219B/219C/319A/144A/757GT-F1(Optisolis)]

My shipment arrived yesterday in perfect condition.
Thanks chouster!

Pity about the small die 219B, but it saves me a mod plan (have already more than I can do)

Ok, I got the triple 219B fixed today, there was a solder blob shorting to the pill, fixed that and replaced the now melted spring and it is good to go.

I love it, it does take 3 of them to equal a single XP-L2 in output but the tint is amazing!

Does about 800 lumens @ 2.5A regulated vs 880 lumens on my triple 90cri 219C 4000k version with the same setup. So about 10% less output at that power level. I used long 24awg wires to limit current and current tops out around 6A with a GA and around 7.5A with a 30Q, it puts out 1600 and 1750 lumens respectively and the heat is manageable.

I am using the 1507 optic right now with the 219B, the 15011 would be floodier but also should give a bit nicer tint still due to the tint mixing. Perfect for a photo light.

I so want to build a light with ~20 of these as a photo light.

Also, keep in mind that the higher the drive current for the LED the better the CRI. Part of why my 7x SRK looks so amazing is that it uses a basic FET driver so you get the same CRI as full power even in dimmed mode. The CRI appears to noticeably improve as current increases, Turbo looks better then 1x 7135 for example by a fair margin.

Finally made it to my P.O. Box to find Nichia goodness waiting for me.

Thanks TA and Clemence for making this possible.

Got the leds well packed and in good order today, thanks chouster!

Thanks TA,
I confirmed the Nichias arrived in Florida, a couple more months and I will be back there.
Our appreciation for a job well done, mission accomplished.

I received my 22 emitters.
Many Thanks!

Thanks Texas Ace for the quick delivery of my Nichia leds & all the good information on BLF.
I ordered 2 Jaxman E2L hosts to try making triples. I have just (2) 219Bs so considering a mix of 219Bs with a 219C in the Jaxman. New to modding & soaking up any info you or others post.

Yes. sw45 (2.9-3.1V) or another ?
And interested for 3xNVSL219B-V1 9080 too.

sw40 will be available ?

As Clemence posted above, unfortunately, the NCSL219B-V1 9080 is already cancelled because Nichia has no stock of them.
There will be a new group buy of 3xNVSL219B-V1 9080 but I have not heard of sw40 before.

Yes, There will be NVSL219B-V1 sw45k AND sw40 9080 too

Ai, I hoped that there would be no reason to join your third round of Nichia's Clemence, and you just smashed that hope. I'm in for the sw40 :-(

Sw35?

Hmm, I feel bad I smashed it…
I also got some 3500K (sm355) Ra8000 319A for you here. Delivered much too late earlier. The 3 steps 319A is surprisingly 30% more expensive even it’s only Ra8000

My stash of leds will get to a next level once again.

I may not even bother building them in lights anymore, just keep them hidden in a small box and just look at them every now and then. Nobody will know! :expressionless:

I use most of my surplus LEDs to lights up the garden, the streets close to my house, even the sewer in my front yard. Still waiting for Sedstar’s package for the 4500K XPGs.

Have you tested any of the LEDs?

Just got chouster’s package in yesterday, so no. And I feel that Texas Ace has has already shown what the 319 can do, so there are no leds atm that I’m planning an output test on.

Yes, his test was great :+1: . He did a great job.
But, I will need to test several special PCBs later. Can you help me?

Ouch. I’ll need to get sw40.

Geez. I’ve never chased new bins around before these groups buys.

sure!

We’ll try to be better next time. No confusing reservations, long wait time, etc….
Hopefully we can get you less than 7 days delivery service after whenever you paid the order……worldwide (or at least in USA, Asia, and Europe).
I will try to test all the LED to Maukka first for less guessing and post purchase disappointments (it feels bad on my ends you know :frowning: ).
Still trying to get cheaper pricing by collaborating with some big manufacturers here….

And to make everything much simpler, only one order page/front page for all areas.

Cheers,
Clemence
