I received a couple of new lights recently so thought it’d be good to go out and get a couple of beam shots.
I think I’ve bought a few too many lights recently. Out of these 8, 5 of these are less than 3 months old!

So the Niwalker is the throw champ for sure and the HaikeLite MT07 seems bloomin impressive considering how much light it throws out!

The house is 280m from where I was standing.
Annoyingly I only had two lenses with me - 17-85mm and 70-200mm. I really wish I had a wide angle with me as the cloud was so low tonight I could put some very visible dots on the clouds. Never done that before!
Annoyingly cloud cover was really low and moisture level was high so I had to back off with the sensitivity on the camera because otherwise all you’d see is a big beam in the air.
I could hear people talking about the clouds from a party at a nearby house.
I went for a bit of a walk after and found some other dark scenes but I couldn’t be bothered with the camera as I was only just hitting some trees with the tm16gt so the others wouldn’t have hit it. The Niwalker here made the tm16gt look like a toy. I really wasn’t expecting it.
After a few more tests I’ve found a building that is 800m from my house and I’m sure that I can hit it. My only issue is humidity in the air. At 800m I’m lighting up so much of the air I dont actually know if I’m hitting the target or not!
I’m hoping for few warm and dry days so that the air humidity goes down a bit. I’m still not sure how I’m going to take a photo along the same path to show it hitting it.
