X6 triple conv. is not very user-friendly. XP32 board dont fit inside head, and you have to sand it. I wonder how much users did this work with leds soldered. I have though that soldering leds at last is more simple way, and even made several spacers with soldered and machined pcbs, but fact that they still unsold means that I understand users preferences not so good.
Due this reasons, I have a poll about C8 triple set. Most or even all spacers will be made from Al (Cu version weights more than 100gr, if you still want it please let me know, I will think about limited batch), XP32 board will sit perfectly centered without any sanding, extra liner from Al with gitd o-ring will hold stock glass lens and center Cute-3 optics. After you know a little about this set, please choose one from next options.
“I would buy C8 triple set…”
1) bare set (spacer, liner, o-ring)
2) only if you will have cute-3 optics to ship them together
3) only if you will have XP32 bare boards to ship them together
4) only if you will have XP32 with leds to ship them together
5) only if you will provide full set with leds and optics
6) wouldnt buy it in any set

My preference is , as a kit :

- aluminum spacer
- XP32 board (stock , not machined)
- cute-3 optic

Not interested now , as i still have 2 or 3 full kits , but i’m just saying my preference .
It takes me some minutes to make the xp32 fit in the host , using hand tools .

It is hard to please everyone. rmy idea is to build something myself. Anything more people should just buy a completed light.

My opinion anyway.

Going overboard is going to get difficult.

Maybe you are right.
I still cant forget “custom” size P60 drop-ins.
Someone have asked me to make various of them, when they were ready most buyers didnt have host for it Oops , others have take sizes that could never fit (one half took 22.0 for use in 24mm 502b Big Smile , other half took 22.8 and sanded it dozen hours to put inside their 22.0 Surefire Facepalm )

I received a copper spacer for Carclo triple Convoy S2+. It is very well made and I installed with a Kaidomain triple 219C with optics and It works, but Kaidomain triple board is very thin and it is not flat and it doesn’t make full contact with the spacer.

I also received a Carclo optic and Noctigon triple board from kiriba-ru that seems very good. It’s really flat and It will make very good contact with the spacer. I will reflow leds and try it when I have some more time.

Thank you very much kiriba-ru for your products, your help and the advice to build my first triple.

I am already thinking about building my next triple (really a quad Convoy M2) and I am sure that I will buy the spacer from kiriba-ru

Got another S2+ pill and Carclo optics yesterday, same fast shipping and great packaging as the others, and it fits perfectly into a red host.

Love the box they come in too, great for storing all the random parts I seem to be accumulating!

Just need the 219Cs from the GB now and it’s time to start building again Smile

Will be ready next week:
-various size Surefire-compatible quad shells
-shortened spacers that allows using glass lens in S3 triple
-two different VG10 quad kit samples that will go to their owneres for detailed check
-few more X7 spacers
-few more F13 spacers
-P60 close kit (internal ring that can be soldered to the shell to close optics from sides and external ring to compensate this height difference), as usual can fit all my previous drop-ins

Long-time question:
Is there any need in X6, X7, F13 spacers made from aluminium? I have problems with finding big size copper rods.

This parts are ready. If you have reserved some of them, I will contact you today or tomorrow.
C8 aluminium kits are in work. Until I havent used all 35mm aluminium rod for C8 kits you can say if you want to have X6, X7 or F13 spacers made from aluminium.
Copper rod for Courui pills is ordered. Please give me suggest where else it (OD 45mm) can be used.

Well, Im not 100% sure.
Need to change smth because Im under zero for most rare parts and near zero for some difficult parts. I dont want to save situation when profit from one position compensates losses from other one. Without price increase Ill need to discontinue producing several items.

Hi,

spacer for the Convoy C8 arrived and fits perfect. I put an 34mm x 1.5mm O-ring on top. The light is pretty heavy now Wink

Regards

Big Smile I think you are one from those who can fit any part to any build and they anyway will fit perfectly. In fact I have made some mistakes and this samples have little wrong dimentions. Your photos are great as usual.

This is a great looking C8 Kenjii. What optics and MCPCB did you use for this build?

Now I see it, thanks. Not much experience with TIR optics from my side, sorry.

I just finished my new build using that copper rod that you sent me. Great stuff, thanks again Kiriba Smile .

I will ask those who are interested in VG-10 quad to open your hosts and specify which version do you have:
1) imagebam.com
Old version from one of chinese websites. Head internal surfaces are complete anodized (no shiny machined surfaces), o-ring between reflector and stock glass lens. Bezel is flat from bottom.

2) imagebam.com
Medium version from amazon deals. Head is machined inside, o-ring around glass lens (between bezel and reflector). Bezel have rim so glass enters inside bezel.

3) imagebam.com
Epic fail version from thorfire GB. Extra aluminium disc and LB pcb under main pcb.

4) imagebam.com
Shadow VG10
