Stolen Photo on Ebay From Flashlight Foy!

photoabusedFoy!

Yeah, and link to the thread with the photo and explain you no longer want it because it's really a photo of an Ultrafire UF-980L!

Oh, and I went and did a search for the previous mention of Foy's stolen photos and I couldn't find it, so it wouldn't have done me any good to search first. (At least this didn't happen over at "the other forum" where I would have been castrated for doing such a thing and expected to know the post existed without it coming up in a search!)

Sorry, wasn't saying you shouldn't have posted this. I am glad you did!

I already sent my comment to the seller. I told him what I said above.

I sent the Foy link as well. I then said ebay ought to kick you off.

Anyone have experience with 365bid? Maybe they are a good seller? Just following what every other seller does.

Here is the thread I was referring too. Check the bottom.

I just logged into my eBay account and sent that %$^$*() a nasty message. You can clearly see the 980L in the photo if you blow it up a little.

Hi E1320 & all,

I'm here, to take your criticism.Smile

Thank you for your message E1320, and I don't think it's nasty at all.

In fact, Mr. Flashlight Foy sent us a message before Christmas, after comunication we were allowed to continue using this great picture.

But now, I finally know this picture is not the correct photo of the light we are selling,we are going to take it down, please give me a little time. We don't want to mislead our client.

I feel really sorry about that, please kindly accept our apologies!

sincerely

365bid

seriously??

no comment. (=no further comment needed from my part)

Gotta Love it! Consumer action = Vendor reaction.

"We don't want to mislead our client" lol!

I thought that was the picture of WF501B, and now I know it is not.

Im sorry ! we are going to take it down, please give us a little time.

We are a married couple living in Hong Kong, although we are just parttime eBay seller,

we are offering the product which has good quality and reasonable price.

We are try our best to keep 100% feedback by doing what we should do

- to be honest - fast shipping - accurate descriptions and good communicaion.

True, there have been mistakes, but I think that's because we lack experience.

I'm sorry for the mistakes I made, please accept my apology!

sincerely

365bid

I accept your apology and appreciate your fast response. To alienate the entire BLF family by using an unauthorized photo would be a grave mistake for your business and your honor. I was not aware he gave you permission to use his photos. It really is up to Flashlight Foy to comment on this thread and make this matter right.

Take the photo down now. It is misleading and I am sure Foy would not approve.

I agree sellers should not post other people's pictures without permission especially if it's for the wrong product. It's wrong and misleading. But what are you going to do? Flashlight police?

On a separate note, I have purchased from 365bid before after recommodation specifically from this forum. Bought an UF-C8 set with 2 batts, charger, & holster on behave of a friend. Received it in 14 days to Canada with no issues. They seemed to have good ratings.

365bid - good to hear you will make it right by removing the pictures. Kudos to you.

As evidenced by this thread, WE ARE THE FLASHLIGHT POLICE !!

You said it pal!

Anyone familiar with my disputes with YouWantLed will know that I am always ready to jump on someone I perceive as being utterly disreputable. I do not perceive that 365bid falls into that category.

I am always willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt on one occasion especially if they have the integrity to come onto this forum and admit their error.

I do believe that 365bid was out of order in respect of this photo but he has apologised for that. By all other accounts 365bid appears to be a seller worth trading with. ANTI-NOWHERE-LEAGUE had dealt with this seller and rates the seller highly as regards quality of product and speed of shipping.

Whoa, hold on. You make it sound like the mistake you made was saying it was a 501B when it was in reality a 980L. NO, your mistake was that you stole a photo off of this site that did not belong to you. That is theft, pure and simple. Just because it is "on the Internet" does not mean it is public domain. YOU need to ask the owner of the photo for his permission to use it and reimburse him accordingly.

Next time, just take your own photos and post them, and you will see how much work Foy put into those beamshots.

This is a lot more about respect for other people's work, and copyright laws, than it is about which light is in the photo.

Since Foy no longer owns the bush ...Nor did he have the bush sign model wavers .It appears that the new owners are seeking to promote the bushes popularity overseas .

Foy did dispicable things to that poor cactus and doesn't want to get mixed up in legal issues concerning plant abuse ..
