BLF A6 lost parts. is this important?

Hi, every flashlight lovers.
I’m flashlight lover too, and newbie. I got BLF A6 a few weeks ago.
When I was cleaning for maintenance,
I lost “white ring” which is between reflector and led (maybe it’s a kind of spacer).
!Imgur: The magic of the Internet!
Someone knows this part is important or not? Can I use light continuing?
Thank you.

yeah you need the spacer or the reflector may short the LED terminals

oh…. :person_facepalming:
I’ll search or order it. But, I have no idea whether it can order or not…

Thank you, mattjk!

Can you measure the diameter of reflector hole?

Search “centering rings”
I’m not sure which size you need.

Parts and rings

Well, you can use another way, like a thick paper, or kapton tape

These may fit as the BLF A6 uses pretty much the same size reflector as a Convoy S2+. I’ll measure mine for you when I get home.

Yes, I measured hole sizes, they are below.
inside : 7mm
outside : 10.5mm

Yes, but “Sorry, this item is no longer available!”

Uhmm… Welcome to BLF!

You can use electrical tape at least until you get a replacement

2 DOGS, thank you for your info.
After your advise I found them out “centering rings” , “gasket” , “insulation” and so on.
…Yes, I didn’t know how to say it. Finally, adding wings to doggymoon.

You made me remember one item.
I have some silicone rings for cherry keyboard to reduce typing sound.
It’s like an kind of insulation gasket.
And then, I tried it on. It looks like a good, for a moment until getting new parts.
Thank you mrheosuper, caramba!

Thank you guys djburkes, g_sintornillos.
I’ll order gaskets.
I need them for my “light” future and I’ll be careful not to be lost parts anymore.

Thank you ChibiM.

If you plan on modding order a few different types. Xml’s work with xhp50’s and xpg’s work with XPL and Nichia 219. Also might want xpg to XML for using xp’s in larger hole reflectors.

Hi Rufusbduck. It’s sounds like fun.
In the future, I’d like to custom, mod, or something tweak my lights.

Careful with the heat, that’s why i recommend kaptop tape
