Photobucket seems to have become impossibly slow. Just trying to upload 1 picture takes 20 minutes and even then doesn’t work half the time.
I think I’ll have to look for an alternative picture hosting website.
Imgur is way better than other alternatives.
There are so many posts with images missing because the hosting site like photobucket or whatever deleted them…
I had imgur and photoflushit for years. You are not immune to losing all your uploaded images at any time. Anything you upload, do not rely on the host to back-up your uploads.
The only images I have ever seen deleted by imgur are from back when they still deleted images after 6 months of 0 views, which was like 2015 or something.
Now they don’t delete anything at all.
Google photos is really reliable too, and pics under 2MB don’t take up google drive space so you can store unlimited amounts.
Never used it myself but I’m sure you can also publicly link your pics by changing the permissions.

Photobucket is having upload issues. Both iPhone and iPad can’t upload new images. Photobucket says I’m not connected to the Internet :person_facepalming: . Oddly, I can link to images already uploaded.
I use to have accounts at PB and IG. Yes, it was several years back. I had accounts with both of them for years.
Imgur sent me notice (as did PhotoFlushIt) one day, and told me they were putting a cap on all accounts. Well, what? I was already far beyond that cap limit.
This was back when they were transitioning from free accounts/unlimited uploads, to paid accounts with specified cap limits.
I had YEARS of images stored on their servers from thousands of projects. I was put in a position, where I paid, or they would automatically cut my account to their specs.
I literally panic'd. That's when I went and got a nice new storage drive, and made sure I had everything I'd uploaded to their servers, archived to my drives.
Then I sent them a polite email to tell them I deleted my account.
I never looked back.

I’ve had success with Flickr and it’s pretty easy to use. I tried my hardest with Google Photos, but it never worked for posting pictures here on BLF.
Why not?
I see nothing wrong with your post. Some members feel like their safe places are being violated when a common word like s**t is mentioned. There are more important things to worry about than a word that is said 100 billion times a day that hurts no one.
BLF is supposed to be a family-friendly environment.
You can't say s***, f***, or g**d*** in kid's movies, and it has no place here either.
If I notice uncensored foul language, I mark it as rude.
It doesn't offend me personally, but it's not appropriate for children.

If you could see the images but others couldn’t then that means they were not set to public, aka “anyone with the link can view”
I joined Imgur last night. I have not really had issues with my Photobucket account and have had it for longer than I care to remember but, some reason yesterday I would not upload anything at all.
I had a review to complete so just gave up and joined Imgur... It is a lot less space but as long as it works I plan to stick with it.

What do you mean a lot less space? That the max image size is 20MB?
Because there’s no limit on space other than that…
