The King is dead? Long live the Warrior!!

I think Johnny Mac said 2,153 lumens, if I remember right. I'd say that is a bit optimistic based on my personal experience. Mine I love, but it is very blue with a mysterious yellow after-glare. Now that the K40M is around (which totally, totally kills it, btw), I don't use my Warrior as much.

I still like my warrior. Not as much as I did as more and more lights coming out these days are very bright. But the main reason is I hate having to hold switch to turn on/off.
I’m gonna see if there’s another driver out there to fix this issue

Hello, the driver of my warrior burned out. It is the most expensive flashlight I have, and the only one who went bad!!!!! Fasttech is the typical crapy chinese store, they don't sell the driver alone. So where can I buy a replacement driver?

Welcome to BLF!

Wow nice OP to read!

Is this driver the size of a SRK? (46mm)
2 buttons and a row of indicator LEDs, could be difficult to swap driver on this one.
I hope Tom E will chime in here

Hello, thank you.
Sorry, what is OP?
I think not, 44 mm, 3 parallel batteries.
I don’t care about those tiny bits, just want to fire the photons.
Maybe I can get a 44 mm plain disk, and do DD?

OP, start post, cool to read it being so old

Can you post some pics of the driver, maybe it is just a little part

I thought this was the official thread for the warrior.

I don’t have pics online, but by email, I can send them to you.

Yeah it is cool to read and for sure you are on topic

You can upload pics at several sites, I use tinypic, upload, open in new tab (until you only see pic) and then copy URL, click little pic icon above where you type posts paste it in first field, set width at 75 or 100% and paste again in lowest field then click OK and we should be able to see them.

OP = Original Post(er).

I was just over looking for another TA and saw your post and thought I’d just show you a link and if you go about half way down on the Original Post “OP” page you might find what your looking for,
Get a measurement if you have calipers or tape measure works also and then convert inches online to MM, will get you a ballpark measurement at least, not hard to do, good luck friend and welcome…

Thanks a lot for the link. Where can I buy a TA driver?

Hi, Sorry I didn’t notice your message, here you go, Official TA thread for his drivers

You can’t. The 46 mm SRK driver can be sanded to fit, just do it carefully(not with a belt sander or bench grinder)However, if you’d like some help with repairing the existing one there might be a way. From the pic it’s obvious at least one component poofed and if you can replace a driver you can certainly replace a part. The pic is somewhat overexposed so pcb labels don’t show. Can you take another? Is the part number still viable? Could someone else post a pic of this same driver/same side? It looks like each led might be individually regulated by a 7136 but with a single main input diode but it hard to say for sure. The FET drivers are unregulated. RMM sells one that uses 7135’s but is only available in kit form until he builds more but a big board like this makes for an easier 1st time DIY if you’re up for it.

The driver board is 46mm, I have also a faulty board, the LEDs take turns to come on , then do weird stuff.

If the SRK driver is available, can some post a link

Thanks

would it be redundant to get this if i have skyray kung and ultrafire 4-l2? I know, sounds like blasphemy…

Of course not. Two reasons:

1) Different form factor of 3x18650; this thing has got its own vibe. Certainly a nice addition if you don’t own a 3x18650 light.
2) The Warrior is one of those hidden classics in the flashlight world in my opinion.

i see. oh man, there goes another paycheck

I have one modded with 4C XM-L2s. love the host & compact size of the light, i hate the PWM, ramping, and user interface.
