Wowser what a build. Love it.
I have only done a couple of custom builds (but it didn’t make a thread on them here so I’m not in).
Congratulations and thanks to ImA4Wheelr! For his contributions and the GAW; and a special thanks to RMM for sponsoring this GAW.
What an awesome forum.

7000 posts …really ??
The other day I bought my first light with a magnet in the tail.
Happily I used it on the side of the fridge ,on my car, the stove range hood,on a metal lamp ..etc....
Pretty quickly I realized it also picked up bits of metal that were crushed between the end of the light and whatever I put the light on .The realization that a ha11 anodized cheapo light like this wasn't going to fare well down the road I thought about what I could attach to the end to give it some quick and easy protection .I…

Tell me about it! I can't believe I have made that many posts. Doesn't feel like it.
Thanks for all the great posts and comments guys. Been meaning to visit all of the links posted, but time has been pretty short lately.

Take yer time! I’m still hoping to get a mod thread done in time to join this GAW! If you read all the threads before drawing a number, maybe I’ll have time to get in!
EDIT: I got a mod thread up! Here it is.

Thank you for bringing that up DavidEF. Part of my goal with this giveaway was to encourage folks to get into modding. Lets go for April 20th. Five days after the big tax day in the USA.
Please remember to put your mod link in your first post to this thread as the OP says only the first post counts. I inadvertently created that restriction when I made the OP, but its too late now to changed the rules.
Adding an Update comment to the OP now.

Congratulations on your 7,000+ posts!
I’m afraid I’m not much of a modder. A Lego-er at the very best.
Edit: if lego-ing is good enough for you, I’ll gladly be IN!
Thank you Henk4U2. No need to be a great modder. One doesn't even have to be sucessful If you even attempt change the light in any way and post about it, you're in the drawing. Legoing is awesome and counts.

Congrats on 7000+ posts ImA! Here’s a link to one of my more interesting mods. That light is still going. It doesn’t get used a whole lot, but it doesn’t just sit on a shelf either - it sits in a drawer . . . just kidding! I think it’s still running on the original batteries though I’ve noticed it’s getting dim so they probably are run down pretty far now.

I joined BLF because what I really liked was to buy cheap lights and mod them.
In this forum I learned a lot and managed to complete my “biggest lumens small flashlight”, an ultrafire F13 with four xhp-50.
Here is the flashlight side by side with a Mnke 26650 I was using and the two Efest IMR 26500 that are going to power the xhp50 leds.

First needed to make shorter the tailswitch assembly so epoxied the switch to the retaining ring. Also soldered one of the terminals to it and the other bypassing the spring with wire.

Then, with a small drillbit, I could make some extra space for the cells.

Nichia and Qlite Convoy S4:
Some of you may recall I bought some S4 hosts from FastTech with no pills…. well I eventually managed to get some pills for them, so I assembled my first one last night.
This one uses a Qlite 3.04A driver and a Nichia NVSL219BT R85 D220 on Noctigon, 4260-4745K Typical 92 CRI (Min.85) Neutral White.
I’m running it on a regular Sanyo 2600 protected ICR, so it is unlikely to pushing 3amps on high, more like 2.2-2.3amps based on similar setups in other hosts.
Output is really nice. I kept to the …
