Looking for small 3V E10 led bulbs to repair/update old school lights

I have a few old school lights i’d like to bring back to life and just found out there exist tiny led bulbs that will fit in place of the old incandescent.

I can see a lot of E10 led bulbs on AE…

Anyone tried some of those?
How bright are they?
Any known ‘good’ source for those?

Thanks for your input.

What kind of base, voltage, wattage, etc.?

As mentionned in the title, 3V, base E10… wattage whatever i can find, the higher the better…
Think about replacing the bulb in a cheap 2D light from the 60s.

I’ll probably end up ordering different bulbs from different vendors and see how it goes.
However there seem to be quite a range… from cheap 30c 0.5W bulbs to more then $10 ones…
If anybody tried that before i’d be glad to hear about it.

Pfft. I saw “3VE10” and was thinking vacuum tube or serial number or something, for some reason. Yeah, 3V, E10 base, gotcha.

Eh, was late at night…

I ordered a bunch of 194-type NW bulbs from FT exactly as you describe, to just sample each kind to figure out which ones I want, vs just what looks good on paper.

Else, I tend to just hit Amazon and lookit all the ratings, see what’s generally well-regarded.

1W :)

I bought a few of the super-cheap e10 bulbs from eBay last year and got what I expected. Mostly junk with horrible tint. The CW was nasty-blue, the warm-white was too yellow/brown. Didn’t work for my intended need. I’ve got one of the old radio shack style pocket microscopes that uses the 3V incan bulb and these eBay LED bulbs didn’t even physically fit.

This style bulb: :confounded:

Did you try those?
I can find plenty on AE… But which ones are half decent?
