And a question - I’m trying to place another order from Gearbest with the shipping option recommended here, but even when I select it on the item page when I check out my total is the pre-shipping total. Then the Paypal approval page is only for the subtotal amount. How are you guys paying for the upgraded shipping?

I feel like I’m crazy that I can’t figure out how to pay for upgraded shipping - I must be overlooking something.

OK, here goes……

  • 1. Add item to cart.
  • 2. Go to Cart in upper right of page and click on View Cart
  • 3. Put in Promotion Code & click apply to see if it changes anything.
  • 4. Then click “Proceed To Checkout
  • 5. Then scroll down to “Available Shipping Methods”. I pick “Priority Line” and this time the only choice was “USA Express” and it picked it for me.
  • 6. Then scroll down to “GB Points” and add them if you have any to add.
  • 7. Choose payment method
  • 8. Review order & shipping info
  • 9. Add special instructions if you have any
  • 10. Click “Place Your Order” . you will be taken to a payment screen then

So “checkout with paypal” doesnt appear to offer the option.

Whereas “checkout” and then selecting “paypal” as the payment method works.

I remember the first couple of times I did it about a year ago I got so confused on the shipping it is a wonder my packages did not get sent to Mars on a slow rocket ship. :person_facepalming: … :smiley:

I had issues with Banggood shipping. If you have a second line in your address (i.e. an apartment number or anything...) it will get left off the shipping address. If that is crucial to receiving it, you will not receive the package.

Interesting, I live in an apartment and I’ve ordered from Banggood many times and never had any issues. Always used their free shipping and received my packages within 2 weeks. Very pleased with Banggood. I’ll happily pay a few dollars more to order from them over Gearbest.

We all do realize that “Business Days” are working days… M-F right? 5 of the 7 days in a week in other words.

So in the shipping times mentioned in the copy and paste below… I have put the actual time in weeks .

    ………USA Express……………7 - 12 business days = 1.4 - 2.4 weeks ………….$1.78
  • Expedited Shipping…………… 3 - 10 business days = 0.6 - 2.0 weeks ……………$9.03

If “Free Shipping” is chosen, it of course takes the longest; 3 to 7 weeks. Go the “Expedited Shipping” route and you should get it in less than a week up to 2 weeks. Whether it be Banggood, GearBest, AliExpress, FastTech, or whomever…… Once they have shipped the package, it is out of their hands.
They have done all they can do at that point to insure the timely delivery of said package.

While most likely the vast majority of us usually get our packages in a fairly timely manner… considering for us in the USA they are coming from half way around the world…… sometime “stuff” just happens.

Again, whether it be Banggood, FastTech, GearBest, etc., etc……… once they have shipped it there is nothing they can do to fix it when “stuff happens”. All they can do at that point is refer to and follow the policies they have in place for dealing with packages that may never show up.

If it is my package that the “stuff happened” to… I may be irritated or whatever. But that is just the breaks of the game and I will have to “wait it out”.

No use me getting mad at the ‘vendor’ if they shipped my package out in a timely manner and I have not received it yet.

No use me getting mad at the ‘vendor’ when they adhere to their policies on how to deal with a package that has not arrived yet and will not make an exception for “me”.

It might be good if we all rethought this whole matter and made some adjustments to our attitudes if they need it. I know I sure have as of late. :+1:
