making a small batch of Texas Avenger "TA" Drivers fully tested running Bistro or Narsil, Clicky or E-switch, SIR800

No springs or wires needed, thanks Lexel!

Ill take one 30mm configured for 2S with narsil firmware. No springs needed.

Hi I will take 1x 17mm Bistro long spring.

Forgive my ignorance… I’m not sure what the pros/cons are of the various options. Basically I would like minimal parasitic drain, most efficient low and mid modes, Narsil ramping, and of course FET turbo.

What is your recommendation?

Also, can the tail switch be used for lockout?

Thank you for providing this service.

I’ll be in for two 17mm (short spring) with latest Narsil Triple, looks like Tom E just uploaded v1.4 tonight.

I think the standard mode groups should be fine and 55C sound like a good stepdown.

I plan on putting one in a skilhunt h03 headlight. Would it be possible to operate the indicator led inside the e-switch with this driver?

I did put a 21mm inside my Skilhunt H03
If the driver is configured to enable indicator LED it works adding a 4.7kOhms resistor to pin 7 like this

I can add that resistor already

If you want that I configure the driver add 1$ and instructions

I will take one 30mm LDO 2s with Narsil then

No spring needed

I’d like one Narsil 20mm with short spring (okay for e-switch, right ? )
I plan to put it in my fried HC30, maybe with a triple 219C.

Your right, looks like I’ll need 21mm boards. The second driver is for an older skilhunt H02, looks like 21mm board also.

So I’ll take two 21mm boards and yes, please configure one of them with the resistor and instructions.

Are you using the default mode groups in you headlight? If you have any changes in the mode groups that work better for headlight usage please let me know.

Thank you very much.

I did modify the modegroups a bit so they fit better to the 7135*5+1 I did put in my skilhunt H03

For a fully equipped 7135*7+1 the standard mode groups will be OK
You can look in the Narsil code and tell me changes if you want

As the light has a DTP star you could also get a higher temperature value when the stepdown kicks in, as it dont get too warm holding in your hands

Hi Lexel I did requested for 1x 17mm bistro with long spring but i don’t see my name in the list.

Narsil Triple v1.4 got released some bugs are fixed and temperature management got updated

I will trust your judgment since your familiar with the host and driver. Please change the stepdown temp to what you feel is best. If you can make improvements on the mode groups I’ll trust your judgment on that as well. Otherwise we can keep them stock. Thanks

I’m a noob with drivers, but I would like to get one driver for my Convoy L6:

30mm, 2S, LDO, Narsil, short spring.

I plan to add a clear side switch with an led to indicate when the rear switch is on.

I would also like the option to have it turn on in turbo with the rear switch.

Are both of those easily done with the normal Narsil or does it require special work?

Thanks

Please add the indicator led option on my driver aswell

Interested in an attiny 85 narsil in the size closest to fitting a courui d01.

The turbo on rear switch is just a few lines different code.
for the illumination of the sideswitch when rear switch is on I can add a 4.7kOhms resistor to the driver
Just keep in mind that a the driver supports as well a indicator LED you could add a green as power LED and a red indicator LED to the sideswitch
the indicator LED can be wired on Pin 7 with an additional resistor
I can add for both LEDs a resistor to the driver for 1$

Which size has the driver and how much space is in the lights body so parts dont collide with it

It is possible just to piggiback a small driver on the original board

there is a 38.5mm TA driver design that could fit

Of course , now it’s an awesome light . First , it’s running Narsil and second , it’s making 292kcd with a dedomed xp-g2 .

Made the driver with LDO for low parasitic drain

More than 2S will burn the 7135 to hell
