I think a single light that would function well in both flood and zoom modes would be a good seller. It wouldn’t have to compete with the best in each category but would only have to function adequately. This would be the light of choice to throw in a auto glove box or take on a trip where space was at a premium, especially if it was USB rechargeable because everyone will have to charge their phones or could take extra batteries if you were going into the wilds camping. While flashlight snobs might look down upon it, they might well recommend it to their non-flashaholic friends and it would be perfect for the casual, non-expert consumer.

XPL V6-3D would be nice for a neutral tint option

AR coated anti scratch glass or polycarbon lens?

do you use copper DTP star with a solid shelf on the tube for mounting?

I like SS bezel but I’m a guy who don’t like heat. May be, you should make the movable head smaller for more fins.

# 3 for me.

I’d vote against the 001 “bloody splatter” version.

Yep, important question. It’s what’s inside that matters.

Looks more like flaking paint to me. I’d almost call it shabby chic if it wasn’t for the high gloss coating and pristine black bits.

Definitely 3

I’m liking #1…. it’s different for sure.

If your goal is to make these as a high quality zooms with good lenses, you could consider to offer them with 2 different size heads. One small like in the pictures and one with like ~50mm lens or of course bigger :confounded:

Hidden SOS is good. There’s kind of a religious disagreement about whether it’s better to start off at full brightness or start off at low brightness. I’m from the “start dim and get brighter, with memory for the mode” school myself.

I can’t see any notable difference between 2 and 3, so eh. [shrug] I do know 1 is… a bit too artistic for a mainstream model, though I definitely wouldn’t mind it as an optional finish.

Right there with you on that.

If mode progression is indeed “Turbo-H-M-L,” I’m out.
